ETA Electronics Co., Ltd. (CEO Nam Jeong-yong) participated in the ‘4 World IT Show (WIS 19)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Wednesday, April 21 to Friday, April 2023.

ETA Electronics is a company that develops and commercializes wireless charging solutions in the mid-power band. The mid-power band refers to the power band between smartphones and electric vehicles, and is mainly used for personal micromobility such as electric kickboards and electric bicycles, or for products such as quarantine robots and serving robots.

Even in 2019, when Eta Electronics was founded, there was almost no need for wireless charging. However, Nam Jeong-yong, CEO of Eta Electronics, saw great potential for growth in the wireless charging market, especially in the mid-power band. And we formed a team of so-called enthusiasts who are interested in and enjoy research and development in that area.

Although it is a market that still needs to be explored, objects that require mid-power band charging belong to a field where complete unmanned operation is possible without human hands. Serving robots that move in stores or logistics robots used in warehouses can return to a designated station on their own when they need to be recharged. And this technology has already been commercialized.

As long as wireless charging can be performed on a robot that returns to its station on its own, almost no human intervention is needed to operate the robot.

This is the direction Eta Electronics is pursuing and the market it is targeting. Moreover, Eta Electronics’ technological prowess boasts an excellent level that is in no way inferior to that of overseas companies targeting the same area.

CEO Nam Jeong-yong expressed his ambition, saying, “As I am confident in my technological capabilities, I have a dream of leading the domestic industry in areas where specifications have not yet been standardized. Furthermore, I will continue to work hard and do my part to secure global competitiveness as a world-class company.” .

Meanwhile, the ‘World IT Show’, a one-stop platform for digital transformation, is a representative exhibition leading the next-generation high-tech industry. The 2023 World IT Show, with the slogan ‘Changing our life, K-Digital’, will feature ▲AI platform, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, and ICT convergence services ▲Smart home, office, and home appliances. and smart healthcare ▲Intelligent mobility and robots such as autonomous driving, UAM, drones, etc. ▲Digital Twin & Metaverse (XR technology) ▲Cloud and software ▲Security software & Blockchain (NFT) ▲The latest technologies and products in the field of quantum information science Exhibited and introduced. In addition, the ‘WIS 2023 Innovation Award’ and the ‘2023 Korea ImpaCT-ech Grand Prize’ were awarded to the technologies and products that attracted the most attention among participating companies.
