IWorks Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Sang-hyun) participated in the ‘4 World IT Show (WIS 19)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Wednesday, April 21th to Friday, April 2023st.

iWorks is a company that engages in SI (System Integration) business and software-related business related to port operation system construction. Founded in 2018 with six employees, it has now grown into a company with about 6 employees and annual sales of about 30 billion won.

Regarding the SI business, we are working on a variety of fields, but in the port operation system field, Iworks developed a ‘shipping inspection system’ and even completed a ‘coil loading plan automation modeling system’.

Among export logistics using ships, the logistics system for shipment of bulk products such as steel is still carried out manually. As a result, it is not easy to check whether the ordered product was properly loaded on the ship and arrived at its destination, and if a mistake occurs, it usually takes more than six months to retrieve the product.

iWorks focused on these issues and on-site difficulties. First, we systemized shipping inspection (verifying the number of cargoes and checking for accidents when loading and unloading cargo from a ship).

At existing port sites, unless it is container cargo, people check and inspect each cargo manually. However, iWorks developed a system that can recognize barcodes on cargo and manage that data, eliminating errors in ship inspection and dramatically shortening the inspection time.

In addition, we developed the ‘Coil Loading Planning Automation Modeling System’, a cargo placement system that can safely load and unload cargo on ships.

Unlike other means of transportation, ships can be damaged or sink if their internal weight is not properly distributed and maintained. Therefore, when loading cargo on a ship, the cargo must be placed in an appropriate location within the ship in a planned manner to ensure the stability of the ship and the protection of the cargo. This series of operations is called ‘Stowage’. In particular, if a ship has to stop at multiple ports to load and unload cargo, the importance of stowage becomes even greater.

The solution developed by iWorks is a total management system that encompasses both shipment inspection and compatibility for bulk logistics.

Through iWorks’ solutions, ship logistics companies can reduce human errors and dramatically shorten work time, and shippers can check where and under what conditions their goods are located in real time, just as they can know the delivery process of the courier company. It has been done. Additionally, by including a stowage system in the solution, the safety of the ship can be guaranteed.

iWorks’ solution is the only program in the world and is currently in negotiations to export to Indonesia and Vietnam.

Meanwhile, the ‘World IT Show’, a one-stop platform for digital transformation, is a representative exhibition leading the next-generation high-tech industry. The 2023 World IT Show, with the slogan ‘Changing our life, K-Digital’, will feature ▲AI platform, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, and ICT convergence services ▲Smart home, office, and home appliances. and smart healthcare ▲Intelligent mobility and robots such as autonomous driving, UAM, drones, etc. ▲Digital Twin & Metaverse (XR technology) ▲Cloud and software ▲Security software & Blockchain (NFT) ▲The latest technologies and products in the field of quantum information science Exhibited and introduced. In addition, the ‘WIS 2023 Innovation Award’ and the ‘2023 Korea ImpaCT-ech Grand Prize’ were awarded to the technologies and products that attracted the most attention among participating companies.
