Don’t Worry Fire & Marine Insurance (CEO Kim Tae-wan) announced that it will participate in the ‘3 Seoul Mobility Show’, which will be held at KINTEX for a total of 31 days from March 4 to April 9.
Don’t Worry Fire & Marine Insurance is a company that provides electric vehicle fire safety AI solutions by combining know-how accumulated over 10 years in the mobility industry and artificial intelligence technology. It plans to participate in this Seoul Mobility Show to introduce its services to visitors.
Their solution operates based on dual thermal detection cameras that monitor temperature and smoke. The goal is to simultaneously improve fire detection speed and accuracy through deep learning AI algorithms, and deploy system alarms and fire department reports in the event of a fire to ensure rapid evacuation and minimize damage. Another feature of these solutions is that they can prevent the spread of fire and secondary property damage through a ceiling-type fire blocking cover (smothering fire extinguisher).
Asphyxiating fire extinguishing cloth is a product with increased flame resistance through a special coating on raw materials such as glass fiber and high silica. The heat temperature ranges from 1,000℃ to a maximum of 1,600℃ depending on the material. This is used to extinguish a fire by covering it and blocking the inflow of oxygen. The company explains that it is a total solution that combines software and hardware to respond to electric vehicle fires.
An official from Don’t Worry Fire & Marine Insurance said, “As voices from the global industry demanding carbon reduction are growing, electric vehicles are being released steadily in the automobile market, and customer demand is also continuously growing. However, people are not willing to purchase electric vehicles due to concerns about fire and explosion.” “There are customers who cannot do this, so we wanted to develop and provide a fire response solution that could minimize these concerns,” he said, explaining the background to the solution development.
Furthermore, Don’t Worry Fire & Marine Insurance announced that it will advance fire response system technology related to electric vehicles to increase utilization and contribute to the safety of customers using electric vehicles. An official said, “We are currently conducting self-testing and field testing of the system, and we plan to start supplying electric vehicle fire safety solutions in the third quarter of 2023.” “In addition, in the first quarter of next year, we will develop a fire smoke forced exhaust system linked to existing solutions and “We are working to advance and expand our services, such as by introducing a modular smoke control boundary wall,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will be held on the theme of ‘Sustainable Connected Mobility (Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility Revolution)’ at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, starting with Press Day on March 3 (Thursday) and ending on April 30 ( days) to be held. The total exhibition size is 4㎡, more than twice as large as the previous event (9㎡), and more than 53,541 companies and institutions from 26,310 countries around the world will participate to showcase various mobility contents.
