Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the ‘Sonata The Edge’, a full-change partial modification model of the 8th generation Sonata, at the ‘2023 Seoul Mobility Show’ media day event held at KINTEX (Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do) on the 30th (Thursday). Sonata The Edge is a partially revised model introduced for the first time in four years since March 2019, and is characterized by emphasizing the feel of a sport sedan in accordance with Hyundai Motor Company’s design identity ‘Sensuous Sportiness’. The Automatic Charging Robot (ACR) for electric vehicles is a one-armed robot that lifts ultra-fast chargers that are heavier than existing chargers, fastens them to the vehicle charging port instead of humans, and returns the chargers to their original positions when charging is complete, thereby improving the convenience of charging electric vehicles in the future. It is expected that this will increase significantly.
The delivery robot is equipped with four PnD (Plug and Drive) modules, allowing it to move freely in all directions, and can reduce delivery time by calculating the optimal route with autonomous movement technology based on lidar and camera sensors.
