Bigtech (CEO Ji Jong-wan) announced that it will participate in the 3th International Medical Equipment & Hospital Equipment Exhibition ‘KIMES 23’ held at COEX, Seoul from March 26 (Thu) to 38 (Sun).
Established in 2018, Bigtech is a company that has developed various devices and platforms based on IT and Internet of Things (IoT). In particular, the company explains that it has acquired KGMP, a domestic medical device manufacturing facility certification, and continues to accumulate expertise in thermometers, remote body temperature monitoring systems, and bio-signal platforms based on big data.
In this exhibition, Bigtech will showcase ‘Temp 24’, a 24-hour remote body temperature monitoring system. The gist of the product and system is to collect user body temperature data in real time through a patch-type device attached under the armpit, and to enable non-face-to-face 24-hour monitoring from a distance through the collected data, thereby increasing the convenience of medical staff in managing patients.
Body temperature monitoring is possible by connecting the product and mobile device via Bluetooth and using a dedicated mobile application (app). In addition, the app provides a search function for nearby hospitals to help prompt response to emergencies for infants and toddlers who are sensitive to high fever. Also, unlike disposable patch thermometers on the market, it can be used continuously by using a replaceable battery.
Temp 24 has undergone demonstration tests in domestic nursing hospitals and hospitals, and has recently obtained manufacturing permission as a medical device and is being commercialized.
An official said, “We made the patch the same size as a 500 won coin so that anyone, including children, can attach it without feeling repulsive, and we thought carefully about the color and design of the band.” And we want to expand our sales outlets centering on medical facilities such as domestic hospitals and clinics.”
“We plan to focus on developing a thermometer that greatly improves usability compared to products on the market in the future,” he said. We will expand to a wider range,” he added.
On the other hand, KIMES is an exhibition specializing in medical devices and hospital facilities that has grown steadily with the development of the Korean medical industry since its first meeting in 1980. It has transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry such as rehabilitation medicine.
KIMES 2023 will feature new technologies and new products suitable for the era of convergence, such as smart healthcare in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, robotic medicine and eco-friendly medical waste facilities, cutting-edge hospital facilities, medical information systems combined with IT technology, and the automobile industry for rapid patient transportation. presents. In addition, it provides a variety of information, including seminars on medical technology, new technology, and overseas marketing, as well as domestic medical industry policy seminars that will show the latest information and direction of the medical industry.
