BR Lab Co., Ltd. (CEO Jong-min Lee) announced that it will participate in the 3th International Medical Equipment and Hospital Equipment Exhibition ‘KIMES 23’ held at COEX, Seoul from March 26rd (Thursday) to 38th (Sunday).

BR Lab is a company established in July 10 to commercialize technology centered on researchers and developers who have been studying sleep for more than 2021 years at Seoul National University Hospital and Seoul National University’s Biosignal Information Laboratory. Based on its technological capabilities and manpower, it has attracted a total of approximately 7 billion won in funds since its establishment, and is working on the development of a non-constrained obstructive sleep apnea improvement system using deep learning through TIPS (Private Investment-led Technology Startup Support Project). It’s in progress.

In addition, we are developing sleep solutions in cooperation with large global companies and are conducting IRB and collaborating in clinical trials and platform development with the four largest domestic hospitals. We are currently undergoing the KC, FCC, and CE certification process for the product, and plan to enter the market step by step after completing certification in the first half of 4.

BR Lab, which has been focusing on technology commercialization since its establishment in 2021, announced that it is participating in this exhibition as product and service development has progressed to a level where commercialization is possible. A BR Lab official said, “Our non-contact, non-binding vital signs and sleep monitoring technology and sleep improvement technology will initially be released to the market in the form of wellness, but will gradually go through a country-specific licensing process to become home sleep monitoring. , plans to enter the Continuous Patient Monitoring, Digital Healthcare, and Digital Therapeutics markets. Accordingly, we decided to participate in the exhibition to publicize the excellence of our products and to find domestic and foreign partners.”

BR Lab’s contactless, unconstrained bio-signal and sleep monitoring technology and sleep-enhancing technology through bio-signal synchronization have been recognized by academia and industry through international SCI-level papers and domestic and international patents.

Regarding this, an official said, “The accuracy of measuring major biological signals is 99% for heart rate variability and 97% for sleep apnea (AHI), which shows a high degree of agreement compared to polysomnography performed in hospitals, and the parasympathetic nervous system is measured through biofeedback, our unique technology. “In terms of strengthening activation and deep sleep, we showed higher results compared to existing solutions, including 146% autonomic nerve synchronization rate during deep sleep, 116% parasympathetic nerve activation rate, and 278% improvement in memory after sleep,” he emphasized.

He continued, “Above all, the advantage of BR Lab’s solution is that, despite its high accuracy, it is non-contact and non-binding. “One of the main advantages is that high-accuracy and effectiveness measurements and improvements can be made naturally in daily life without device wear or behavioral restrictions,” he added.

Future plans were also revealed. An official said, “We plan to launch a ‘cognitive behavior service for a healthier life’ based on AI and cloud-based data in the first half of 2023, and through collaboration with home appliance and bedding companies, we will create a platform to optimize living environments based on sleep data. “We plan to introduce it to the market.”

On the other hand, KIMES is an exhibition specializing in medical devices and hospital facilities that has grown steadily with the development of the Korean medical industry since its first meeting in 1980. It has transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry such as rehabilitation medicine.

KIMES 2023 will feature new technologies and new products suitable for the era of convergence, such as smart healthcare in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, robotic medicine and eco-friendly medical waste facilities, cutting-edge hospital facilities, medical information systems combined with IT technology, and the automobile industry for rapid patient transportation. presents. In addition, it provides a variety of information, including seminars on medical technology, new technology, and overseas marketing, as well as domestic medical industry policy seminars that will show the latest information and direction of the medical industry.
