UOK Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Seong-hak) announced that it will participate in the ‘Drone Show Korea 2’ held at BEXCO, Busan from February 23rd (Thursday) to 25th (Saturday).
UOK is a company that has accumulated specialized capabilities in the field of spatial information since its establishment in 2007. For many years, it has been providing various spatial information such as street view map services of domestic portals, VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality), and digital twin. expertise has been secured.
Based on this technological background, we have a variety of solutions that implement three-dimensional automatic shooting on the ground, in the air, and at sea to produce high-quality 3D content. In particular, we have developed our own high-precision street view automatic shooting device using vehicles and are participating in related businesses. The company explains that it is making efforts to contribute to smartening national administration.
At this exhibition, UOK will showcase its latest high-precision 3D LiDAR sensor and a platform that can be applied in a variety of ways. Representative examples include content that builds a road network in three dimensions through vehicles equipped with Mobile Mapping System (MMS) sensors.
In addition, the city’s digital twin, created by combining point cloud data built with an aerial lidar sensor that can scan a large area from above and ground-aerial data, will be demonstrated step by step. In particular, these platforms, which scan objects with 3D LiDAR at close range using drones and simultaneously capture high-quality images, can be applied and utilized in a variety of ways for LiDAR-based modeling and photometry-based 3D object modeling.
The 3D city built through UOK’s technology is data that has secured high accuracy and precision with an error range of centimeters (cm), and this has been systematized to support various data utilization methods such as searching for desired information within the data or simple analysis. do.
A UOK official said, “We have been producing panoramic maps of over 2007km in length since 100, and through this, we have secured the technology to guarantee the location accuracy of 2D and 3D data.” He added, “With our own technology, high-quality sensors, and “We are actively participating in a number of national agency projects through the platform, and our technological prowess is in the form of patents, etc., and the developed LiDAR system is securing public trust through data verification by public institutions,” he added.
He continued, “We plan to continue investing and researching and developing related businesses in the future to provide services so that the data we acquire in the future can be used in a variety of industries, such as self-driving cars and smart city construction.” He added, “For example, in the future, automatic video recording equipment will be used in vehicles.” “We plan to accelerate and develop the business in earnest, such as by developing a device that can easily acquire various road information networks by installing it on the road,” he added.
