MGIIT Co., Ltd. (CEO Jung Woo-cheol) announced that it will participate in the ‘2 Drone Show Korea 23’ held at BEXCO, Busan from February 25 (Thu) to 2023 (Sat).

MGIIT, a company specializing in industrial drones, is growing as its main business in technology service, R&D service, image analysis of various facilities and spatial information through drone utilization solutions for aerial diagnosis. Currently, it is officially importing DJI Enterprise (ENTERPRISE) industrial drones, and is in the process of upgrading the solar power plant panel inspection solution through thermal image analysis. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is also operating the MGIIT Drone Training Institute, a specialized educational institution, and is striving to nurture talent for the 4th industry.

MGIIT operated a booth with DJI Enterprise at Drone Show Korea in 2022 and introduced industrial drone solutions. Following last year, the booth will be operated with DJI Enterprise at this exhibition, and DJI’s new industrial drones released last year and various software that help to utilize aerial data in the industrial field will be exhibited. Through this, it plans to make more visitors and related companies/institutions know the value of industrial drone solutions.

At this Drone Show Korea, DJI Enterprise’s new small industrial drone Mavic 3 Enterprise series and Mavic 3 Multispectral that can be used in agricultural fields will be introduced at a glance.

The Mavic 3 Enterprise series is an industrial version of DJI’s flagship Mavic 3, featuring up to 45 minutes of flight time, a 4/3CMOS 20MP wide-angle camera, a telephoto camera with up to 56x hybrid zoom, a 640x512px thermal imaging camera, state-of-the-art obstacle detection and navigation. It is DJI’s latest industrial drone that supports systems and more. It is introduced as a product that can be used in various industrial fields such as surveying, inspection, search and rescue, and firefighting.

An MGIIT official said, “Industrial drones are a tool that replaces tasks that were previously performed mainly by human resources in a smarter and safer way. In the case of power and energy facilities located in rough terrain, drones can safely perform inspections. In the case of firefighting and emergency sites, it is possible to quickly grasp the emergency situation at the site by securing a view from the air. In night missions that are difficult to identify with the naked eye, a drone equipped with night vision and a thermal imaging sensor can quickly find a missing person. In the case of surveying a large area, it can be surveyed quickly and efficiently with a drone without consuming manpower and time.”

In this way, industrial drones are being developed in a way that protects the safety of workers, saves time and money for manpower-oriented tasks, and efficiently improves on-site workflow.

As an official importer of DJI Enterprise, MGIIT is promoting the value of industrial drones through various marketing activities. In 2022, three new product launch events were held to introduce DJI’s new industrial drones and build networks with drone-related companies and organizations. In particular, to expand the industrial drone market, free training on drone data post-processing software was conducted several times, and the industrial drone introduction process was introduced in detail.

In addition, it not only distributes industrial drones, but also provides services based on its expertise, operates a specialized educational institution approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and continuously provides drone training programs. Based on this, officials explained that last year, it was selected as a ‘First Penguin’ company, a promising startup guarantee support system of the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and was recognized for its potential and technological capabilities.

He also revealed his future business plans. An official said, “DJI Enterprise’s first remote mission solution, DJI DOCK, will be in stock in the second half of this year. The DJI DOCK is an automatic take-off and landing and charging station that can be used with the Matrice 30 series launched last year. It is a product that enables remote planning, flight and data management for drone flight through DJI FlightHub 2, a cloud-based drone task management software, and is an optimized solution for remote missions.” As a product that has been received, it is expected that it will be quickly introduced in industrial sites that require remote work when it is received in Korea.”

Meanwhile, the exhibit items of the 2023 Drone Show Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of National Defense, and Busan Metropolitan City, and hosted by BEXCO and the Korea Unmanned Aerial System Association are as follows. △Manufacturing (drone, military, UAM/AAM, surveying, mapping, firefighting, station, unmanned robot, leisure, broadcasting) △Utilizing industry (photography, control, spatial information, logistics, disaster management, security, reconnaissance, construction, deep sea exploration) Etc.) △Parts and technology (communication, ground control, autonomous flight, system and S/W technology, fuel cell sensor, motor, battery, etc.) △Service (education, finance, rental, insurance, investment consulting, etc.) △ Institutions (related institutions, associations/organizations, universities)
