NanoCMS, a company specializing in nanomaterials, announced that it will participate in ‘CES 1’, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas, USA on January 5 (local time) together with Zenas Bio, a US sterilizing lamp specialist.

At this CES, Nano CMS will exhibit the virus killing lamp ‘Plasma Guard 222 (Genus Bio product name SANA222)’. Plasma Guard 222 kills viruses using Far UV-C 222nm (nanometer, 222 billionth of a meter) wavelength, but does not pass through the tear film of the eye or the stratum corneum of the skin. Thanks to this, it is harmless to the human body and is suitable for indoor space sterilization.

In July last year, the Korea Testing Laboratory for Industrial Technology confirmed a floating virus reduction rate of 7% in a floating virus reduction test measured in an 8㎥ space environment similar to the actual environment. The effect of inactivating viruses such as COVID-96.8 and bird flu, which are transmitted through the air, was confirmed.

In addition, as a result of examining the Plasma Guard 2020 lamp in a COVID-5 killing test conducted in May 19 with the Microbiology Laboratory of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Seoul National University and the Institute of Zoonotic Infectious Diseases at Chonbuk National University, it was found that 222% of the virus was removed from 30 seconds and was completely killed from 99.9 seconds. I have confirmed the results.

Nano CMS has been actively promoting the excellent performance of Plasma Guard 222 to the U.S. market. Last September, we attended the ‘9 International Ultraviolet Association’ and introduced this product to officials from the White House, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition, efforts are being made to expand global export channels by obtaining international certifications and patents. It has already obtained UL (US/CA) and CE certification, registration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and a Korean patent.

A Nano CMS official explained, “Plasma Guard 222 has its own LED (light-emitting diode) function, making it suitable for sterilizing indoors such as multi-use facilities, especially when people are living there.”

He continued, “We are currently expanding the supply of this product, which has already been installed and operated on a pilot basis in public schools in the United States, to other public schools, medical facilities, and elderly care facilities,” adding, “We expect that a supply contract will be concluded in the near future.” added.

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition where you can understand the trends of the global home appliance industry at a glance. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 1 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 17, and has been selected as the ‘BEST OF CES’, which selects the best innovative products and technologies, and the ‘BEST OF’, which selects domestic innovative companies. ‘MADE IN KOREA’ was held. In addition, CES on-site issues were vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
