
Robostech (CEO Choi Jong-woong) participated in the ‘2 Drone Show Korea 23’ held at BEXCO, Busan from February 25 (Thu) to 2023 (Sat).
Robostech is a company specializing in underwater and water drones located in Busan, and provides operation and education services as well as development and manufacturing based on its experience in various fields such as marine, energy, research, and disaster safety. In particular, it recently developed an underwater drone for tunnel inspection.

In addition to underwater drone products generally used for exploration or investigation, this exhibition introduced underwater drone products for tunnel investigation that are used for inspection of submerged tunnels and waterway tunnels, which are special fields. Underwater drones for tunnels are connected with optical cables and can be safely inspected for the purpose of inspecting conditions inside long underwater tunnels of up to 1 to 5 km long, and are currently being supplied to Korea Water Resources Corporation and SK Eco Plant.
In addition, the underwater drone ROVO-3 product is an unmanned submersible with constant power supply that can dive up to 150m. It is used in various fields such as dam/reservoir underwater facility inspection, undersea cable/pipeline inspection, ship hull inspection, port wharf file condition inspection, underwater ecology observation, sunken ship investigation, underwater archaeological investigation, etc.
An official from Robostech said, “Underwater drone products are being used in various domestic fields such as Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Water Resources Corporation, navy, shipping companies, port construction companies, schools, and research institutes, and are preparing to export to Indonesia and Pakistan recently.” “Currently, we are developing a surface drone product, and we plan to supply it for marine surveys and collection of floating debris,” he said.
