SK Telecom participated in the ‘2 Drone Show Korea 23’ held at BEXCO, Busan from February 25 (Thu) to 2023 (Sat).

At this exhibition, SK Telecom introduced solar panel AI analysis using drones, a mobile robot and drone integrated video control system, and unveiled an AI robot kit released on the 20th offline for the first time.

SK Telecom’s AI robot kit is a rectangular box-shaped module attached to a robot to monitor fire and gas leaks. The internal system consists of a computer, front and rear cameras, 5G modem, speaker, and microphone.

Users of the AI robot kit can analyze AI images with FHD-level resolution, and select necessary functions through high-performance harmful gas detectors, thermal imaging cameras, and indoor space 3D precision measurement programs. In addition, a single video control system can control drones and robots at the same time, and multiple robots can be controlled at the same time, which is effective for quick response in case of disaster.

Since last year, SK Telecom has been promoting AI-based robot-related businesses in earnest. In the field of logistics, Lee Jeok-jae robot business is being carried out, and franchise-type robot products have been planned with a large domestic cafe operator.

Regarding this, SK Telecom said, “It is the first time in the industry that a product in the form of a kit attached to a robot is being released.” said.

In addition to this, SK Telecom also introduced ‘T live caster’. This is a buildable system for transmitting and receiving images being filmed with various cameras such as smartphones, drones, IP CCTVs, and camcorders in high definition and low latency through wired and wireless networks such as 5G and LTE.

It is a mobile video control solution that enables high-definition video control anytime, anywhere, regardless of the location of the camera, and includes a drone video-based solar power plant inspection and integrated management platform. In addition, it can produce orthophotos of thermal images through autonomous flight, perform panel inspection and data management through AI analysis, and automatically generate reports on the results.

Meanwhile, the exhibition items of the 2023 Drone Show Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of National Defense, and Busan Metropolitan City, and organized by BEXCO and the Korea Unmanned Aerial System Association are as follows. △Manufacturing (drone, military, UAM/AAM, surveying, mapping, firefighting, station, unmanned robot, leisure, broadcasting) △Utilizing industry (photography, control, spatial information, logistics, disaster management, security, reconnaissance, construction, deep sea exploration) Etc.) △Parts and technology (communication, ground control, autonomous flight, system and S/W technology, fuel cell sensor, motor, battery, etc.) △Service (education, finance, rental, insurance, investment consulting, etc.) △ Institutions (related institutions, associations/organizations, universities)
