[Las Vegas (USA) = AVING News] Smartus Korea (CEO Son Ho-jeong) held ‘CES 2023’ held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 4 days from January 5 (Thursday) to January 8 (Sunday, local time), 2023. Participated in the K-STARTUP integration hall at Eureka Park, a startup zone.
Smatoos has researched and developed an oral monitoring device so that you can easily take care of your teeth at home without the burden of dental visits and checkup costs. Starting with cavities, we are continuously researching and advancing the diagnosis of various oral diseases.
‘Smatoo’, which will be exhibited at this exhibition, is an oral monitoring device that allows you to directly check the condition of your teeth at home. It can even identify early-stage cavities that are difficult to detect with an X-ray, and helps manage symptoms before they become serious.

Smatoos is not only an oral monitoring device that can be shared by the entire family using a disposable probe, but also uses an optical sensor to increase the accuracy of cavity recognition. It is linked to a mobile app to check specific oral values, and oral data helps with consistent management.
Son Ho-jeong, CEO of Smatus Korea, said, “My father suffered from oral disease for a long time, and I was familiar with the smell of the dentist since I was young. He had multiple implant surgeries and spent a lot of money on them. “As I was thinking about alleviating my father’s pain and maintaining good oral health, I naturally majored in dentistry and even completed a doctorate program,” he said. “After receiving an award for the idea of a home oral health diagnostic device, I became convinced that it could be helpful to others as well.” He revealed the development background, saying, “It was materialized with the Smartus device.”
He continued, “The Smartoot device is scheduled to be released on the market soon, and in the future, the device will have gum disease diagnosis functions through sensor development, oral equipment for pets, combination with electric toothbrushes and water picks through combination modules, and big data medical data. “We will add various functions such as analysis services,” he said.
