VNTC (CEO Noh Kyeong-seok) announced on the 2023th that its ‘Spinamic Live’ won the CES 2023 Innovation Awards Honoree.

This year’s CES Innovation Awards program was selected from over 2,100 applicants. CES 2023 is the world’s most influential technology exhibition and will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from January 1 to 5 next year, and this innovation award was announced in advance of the event.

The CES Innovation Awards program, hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an annual competition venue for products with outstanding design and technology in 28 consumer technology product categories. The product that receives the highest score will receive the honor of ‘Best of Innovation’. Judges comprised of outstanding industry experts will evaluate the entries based on innovation, technology and functionality, aesthetics and design.

Spinamic Live is an upgraded product from Spinamic, a hybrid scoliosis brace currently being sold by VNTC. Spinamic uses fabric material and implements the three-point pressure principle to increase patient compliance.

Spinamic Live, which combines software here, attached a pressure sensor to the brace. This sensor collects data about the time the brace is worn, the pressure it is worn on, etc. and transmits it to a dedicated application. The company explains that with this, it is possible to confirm follow-up on the wearing of braces, which previously relied only on the patient’s memory and statements, through quantified data. The goal of the upgraded product is to enable patients, guardians, and doctors to check the status of their braces through a dedicated application and the web, and to manage the braces they used to wear alone.

VNTC CEO Noh Kyeong-seok said, “I consider this award meaningful to Spinamic Live, which stems from our consideration for patients, and we are happy to receive positive reviews. “I hope that this product will help scoliosis patients around the world take one step closer to a comfortable life,” he said, expressing his thoughts on receiving the Innovation Award.

Meanwhile, digital healthcare startup VNTC has been developing user-centered products and building technology in the field of ‘scoliosis’ since its establishment in 2016. Since its establishment, it has received investment from institutions a total of five times, most recently attracting investment from Steve Chen, well-known as the founder of YouTube.
