MTA Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Kwang-chun) participated in ‘KOPLAS 3 (14th International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition)’ held at KINTEX, Ilsan for 18 days from March 5 (Tue) to 2023 (Sat). .

In particular, the ‘MTA Fe-Cu Alloy’ series, which combines copper and iron through a special heat treatment method with excellent hardness and thermal conductivity, was introduced to the market. The material, which has a micro-scale net structure, exerts an effect of enhancing efficiency in various industrial materials and parts, and is considered one of the so-called ‘eco-friendly metals’. The company explains that it is making efforts to replace existing rare earth elements with these eco-friendly metals and reduce the use of harmful metals.
In this exhibition, MTA exhibited high sterilization metal powder (S10·S20). It is characterized by adding 10 to 20% of copper to existing stainless steel (SUS) to impart high corrosion resistance.
In addition, MTA’s highly sterilizing metal powder was added to plastic, silicone, paint, etc., and then tested for antibacterial properties (JIS Z 2801 antibacterial test) by domestic and foreign testing institutes. The official emphasized that it showed the result of sterilizing all germs by more than 99.9%.
MTA is conducting various compatibility tests in parallel with domestic university hospitals to use its highly sterilizing metal powder as a material for medical devices. In addition, in cooperation with domestic and foreign specialized companies, the company plans to conduct research and development on high-sterilization composite material products that will be applied to materials around daily life, such as paint, silicone, plastic, urethane, and ceramic, to expand distribution.

On the other hand, KOPLAS, which celebrated its 2023th anniversary in 27, provides various attractions from raw materials for plastics to molds, processing machines, related auxiliary devices, automation solutions, printing, packaging, semi-finished products, and finished products, and presents the present and future of related industries. A ‘place for the plastic rubber-related industry’ was established. As it was held concurrently with the Korea Material·Composite Materials and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech) and the International Mold and Related Equipment Exhibition (INTERMOLD KOREA), various products were introduced in one place.
