Air Liquide announced that it will participate in World Hydrogen Expo 2025 (WHE 2025), which will take place at KINTEX from December 4 to December 7.

Air Liquide is a company known for its expertise in gas technologies, products, and services optimized for industrial and medical applications. The company provides services to more than 4 million customers and patients across 60 countries, including Korea. It has accumulated over 60 years of experience in the hydrogen industry and has contributed to the transition to environmentally friendly energy systems, according to the company.

At the exhibition, Air Liquide plans to present its portfolio of technologies and products specialized in the hydrogen industry. The portfolio covers a wide range of solutions, from low-carbon hydrogen production to renewable hydrogen production using enterprise-scale electrolyzers.

In the fields of autothermal reforming (ATR) and steam methane reforming (SMR) combined with carbon dioxide capture, Air Liquide offers its proprietary Cryocap carbon capture technology, large-scale high-purity purification using pressure swing adsorption, liquefaction solutions, and integrated low-carbon ammonia and methanol solutions.

In particular, Air Liquide plans to actively share insights and a development roadmap for the state-of-the-art high-pressure hydrogen dispatch center at the Daesan Petrochemical Complex in South Chungcheong Province, established by Lotte-Air Liquide Ener’Hy, a joint venture founded in 2022 through a joint investment by Lotte Chemical and Air Liquide Korea.

An Air Liquide official said, “The recent opening of the high-pressure charging center in Daesan by Lotte-Air Liquide Ener’Hy represents our efforts to support momentum in Korea’s hydrogen industry,” adding, “We decided to participate in WHE 2025 to introduce both the technologies Air Liquide has built up over time and our continued commitment to advancing the industry.”

The official added, “Hydrogen is moving beyond its limited role as an industrial gas and is increasing its value as a new pillar and core element of the global energy system,” and said, “Across the hydrogen value chain, Air Liquide’s expertise and technological capabilities are leading decarbonization and energy transition efforts, and we plan to strengthen further our position as a global partner supporting the creation of a sustainable future through this opportunity.”

Meanwhile, the World Hydrogen Expo 2025 is the world’s largest hydrogen industry event, bringing together hydrogen companies from around the globe to showcase the latest technologies and trends and create opportunities for global cooperation. Starting this year, the Hydrogen International Conference and the hydrogen industry exhibition H2 MEET have merged into a single event that integrates exhibitions and conferences. Companies from Korea and abroad will present next-generation hydrogen technologies, spanning the entire value chain from production to storage, transportation, and utilization. The event aims to establish itself as a global hub for sharing innovative technologies and market strategies.
