SL Corporation (Co-Presidents Sung-Yup Lee and Hanyoung Kim) participated in the Future Innovation Tech Expo 2024 (FIX 2024), held at EXCO from October 23 to 26.

Founded in 1954, SL Corporation has spent the past 70 years establishing itself as a global leader in automotive components. The company specializes in headlamps, various other lamps, gear shifters, mirrors, front-end modules (FEM), and battery management systems (BMS). Its clients include major global automakers such as Hyundai Motor Group, GM, Ford, Stellantis, BMW, and Renault. Recently, SL has expanded its offerings to include innovative technologies and products tailored to electric vehicles, aligning with the global shift toward vehicle electrification.

At FIX 2024, SL highlighted its near-field road projection concept, which enhances safety, design, and functionality. As intelligent vehicle technology gains traction, SL aims to meet market demands with its “Intelligent Lighting System,” enabling interaction between vehicles and pedestrians or other vehicles.

SL’s innovative products feature lighting capabilities that project clear, intuitive visual cues onto road surfaces. The company showcased vehicles at its booth with its latest lighting technologies, allowing visitors to experience the systems firsthand.

In collaboration with SOSLAB, a mobility sensing specialist, SL showcased LiDAR-integrated headlamps. Unlike traditional LiDAR systems that require separate installation spaces, SL’s design embeds the sensors directly into the headlamps, improving spatial efficiency, detection range, and durability.

An SL representative commented, “FIX 2024 provided a platform to demonstrate SL’s proactive steps toward the autonomous driving era and reinforce its leadership in the automotive lighting industry. Celebrating our 70th anniversary, this event also allowed us to reflect on SL’s legacy and achievements.”

The representative added, “SL is diversifying its portfolio, focusing on BMS, SBCM (Side Body Control Modules), LiDAR mass production, and advanced lighting development for various scenarios. With these future-oriented technologies and capabilities, SL remains committed to advancing Korea’s automotive industry.”
