IMT Inc. (CEO Jun Kyu Park) participated in the 2024 Future Innovation Tech Expo (FIX 2024), held from October 23 to 26 at Daegu EXCO. The company specializes in medical devices that leverage advanced bio-interface technology. It aims to elevate global patient care through innovative solutions such as nano-fiber wound dressings, adhesion barriers, and hemostats.

Using proprietary technologies such as nano-fiber fabrication, precision coating, and surface modification, IMT is developing cutting-edge medical products for commercialization. Once production is finalized, the company plans to supply its products to prominent hospitals, including Ajou University Hospital, Asan Medical Center, and Seoul National University Hospital.

At FIX 2024, IMT showcased Nano-I, a nanofiber wound dressing made of ultrafine fibers in a membrane form. Its unique characteristics—such as a large specific surface area, high porosity, and biomimicry—make it ideal for scaffolds, drug delivery, wound healing, and biosensor applications.

The product is manufactured using an electrospinning method that employs triboelectricity to arrange materials of differing charge sequences. This process eliminates the risk of electric shock by using minimal current, simplifying high-voltage generation with a lightweight and cost-effective structure that foregoes complex rectification circuits.

Nano-I features highly absorbent nanofibers capable of treating diverse wound shapes and promoting hemostasis. The portable nanofiber fabrication device offers advantages such as a reticulated fiber structure, high absorbency, hemostatic properties, infection prevention, compactness, and lightweight design—all achievable at low manufacturing costs.

IMT also revealed plans to establish subsidiaries in the United States and Europe to expand its global presence. The company aims to accelerate its entry into international markets by partnering with key collaborators.
