MORAI participated in the “2024 Future Innovation tech eXpo (FIX 2024)” held from October 23 to October 26 at Daegu EXCO, showcasing its advanced simulation technology to enhance the safety and reliability of autonomous systems. Known for its full-stack autonomous driving simulation solutions, MORAI provides a digital twin platform replicating complex physical environments, allowing clients to test autonomous software and systems thoroughly.
With MORAI’s simulation, users can safely conduct various edge-case tests in a virtual environment, run multiple systems simultaneously for extensive testing, and achieve substantial cost savings compared to traditional methods. MORAI’s platform includes digital twin maps of about 85 locations worldwide, covering urban areas, off-road environments, proving grounds, and campuses across South Korea, the United States, Japan, and Singapore.
As part of the event, MORAI also participated in the DIFA 2024 and the ROBEX 2024, demonstrating its technology for autonomous vehicles and robots. In collaboration with Daegu Metropolitan City, MORAI showcased its UAM (Urban Air Mobility) solutions at the K-UAM Dream Team pavilion, highlighting simulation technology for next-generation aerial mobility.
The “MORAI SIM” platform supports testing autonomous vehicles, UAMs, robots, and vessels. Its digital twin capabilities replicate real-world conditions, such as weather and lighting changes over time, enabling users to test performance under various scenarios.
The platform offers extensive scenario options, allowing developers to model real-world traffic flows and assess how autonomous systems react to unexpected situations. Using data from actual vehicles, MORAI SIM helps to ensure readiness for real-world conditions by generating artificial weather and environmental conditions to accelerate learning and improve system performance.
For high-fidelity simulation, “MORAI Drive” includes sensors, vehicle models, and scenarios to simulate complex scenarios, such as pedestrian collision risks, that can be repeated thousands of times for thorough validation.
MORAI also supports cloud-based simulation through “MORAI SIM CLOUD,” a SaaS platform that enables simultaneous simulation of thousands of vehicles on a single PC without additional programs.
In the K-UAM Dream Team pavilion, MORAI’s “MORAI Air” showcased a dedicated simulation solution for aerial mobility, including UAM and drone testing. This solution enables comprehensive safety testing in a virtual environment, supporting autonomous flight algorithm development and scenario-based testing.
Beyond flight simulations, MORAI Air includes vertiport location analysis, UAM control, and operations management capabilities, enhancing accessibility and efficiency in urban UAM services.
MORAI stated, “We are expanding our capabilities to verify the safety of future mobility systems, from autonomous ground vehicles to aerial and maritime vehicles. As mobility innovation progresses rapidly, we aim to provide an environment for cost-effective and safe verification through advanced simulation technology, reinforcing partnerships to accelerate the commercialization of autonomous driving.”
