The “2024 Future Innovation tech eXpo (FIX 2024)” opened on October 23 at Daegu EXCO, providing a unique opportunity to view transformative technologies. Running until October 26, this year’s debut of FIX 2024 is Korea’s largest innovation expo. It features 463 companies and 2,071 booths showcasing advanced technology in future mobility, robotics, and ABB (AI, Big Data, Blockchain).
As part of FIX 2024, the ICT Convergence Expo Korea hosts 165 organizations and companies across 470 booths, presenting cutting-edge ABB and ICT technologies.
Major companies like SK Reits, KT, LVIS, AWS, and promising startups are participating. Sandbox attracted crowds with interactive content using Apple Vision Pro, leaving visitors eager to explore commercial applications for this technology. “I attended specifically to experience Sandbox’s content, and I’m convinced of the revenue potential of developing content with Apple Vision Pro,” one attendee commented.
AI company ESTsoft showcased its real-time interactive AI Human (AI Persona), envisioned as a companion for enriching lives in increasing single-person households and an aging population. SK Reits offers cloud solutions tailored for SMEs that struggle with the high costs of building data centers.
The concurrently held ABB Conference featured Kyunghoon Kim, Kakao’s AI Safety Lead. Kim shared trends in AI safety and future development plans, receiving praise from attendees. Sphere AX’s Executive Vice President, Soyoung Lee, demonstrated the latest ABB-integrated deepfake detection technologies to address growing concerns about deepfake content.
On October 25, the conference will host experts such as UNIST’s Director of Industrial Intelligence Laboratory Sunghoon Lim and LG CNS’s General Manager Christine Hyejin Rhou, who will discuss the present and future of smart manufacturing and AI in conference rooms 322 and 323 at EXCO.
The ICT Convergence Expo Korea, which runs from October 23 to October 26, also includes the Korea Future Mobility Expo, which features a Cybertruck display, and the Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition, where visitors can see bipedal robots.
Un-baek Choi, Director of the Innovation and Growth Bureau of Daegu Metropolitan City, stated, “Through this event, we aim to strengthen Daegu’s global competitiveness in ICT and advanced industries, propelling the city forward as a future-leading hub that the world watches closely.”
FIX 2024 featured specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs focusing on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 at EXCO’s East Wing showcased trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services. Meanwhile, the 2024 ICT Convergence Expo Korea, held in the West Wing, exhibited AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. The 2024 Daegu Robot Expo displayed industrial robots, humanoid robots, and digital transformation solutions for the robotics industry. The “Startup Arena” was introduced to facilitate meetings between startups and experts from startup accelerators like Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play.
