HRT System (CEO Mangu Kim) participated in the “2024 Future Innovation Tech eXpo (FIX 2024)” from October 23 (Wed) to October 26 (Sat) at Daegu EXCO.
Specializing in collaborative robot automation systems, HRT System offers safe and user-friendly automation solutions for various industrial sites in Korea. The company designs, manufactures, and programs systems tailored to client needs and applies them across diverse applications. In line with the smart factory trend, HRT System has developed solutions that efficiently integrate with existing equipment in rapidly evolving automation environments.
With a track record of supplying collaborative robots for manufacturing, automotive, and F&B industries in Korea, HRT System provides a comprehensive range of automation solutions, including essential components, collaborative robots, and custom software.
At FIX 2024, HRT System introduced the Universal Robots collaborative robot, designed to work safely alongside people. With payload capacities ranging from 3 kg to 30 kg, this robot is adaptable to various applications.
The company also showcased MiR (Mobile Industrial Robots) autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), which use mapping to navigate changing industrial environments without additional sensors or lines. These AMRs can handle loads up to 1,350 kg and have upper modules that make them suitable for hospitals, warehouses, factories, and other applications.
HRT System’s Pick it 3D vision solution enhances automation by serving as the “eyes” for various compatible collaborative robots. This system allows robots to locate and handle non-stationary objects, enabling sanding, deburring, polishing, and bolt-tightening tasks.
Additionally, the HRT System highlighted the Markforged carbon fiber industrial 3D printer and Formlabs’ rapid prototyping 3D printer. These printers allow users to print and inspect parts the next day, providing flexibility in parts workflow and reducing costs and time on-site.
An HRT System representative explained, “Our mobile manipulator robot, introduced at this exhibition, maximizes the utility of collaborative robots by mounting them on autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Unlike traditional fixed-position work, this setup allows robots to perform tasks while moving to various locations across industrial sites. Our high-load collaborative robot, with a payload capacity of 20 kg, reduces the musculoskeletal strain on workers by providing a robotic palletizing system for packaging and shipping tasks in warehouses and industrial sites.”
HRT System’s mobile manipulator has been supplied to semiconductor component manufacturers and 3D printing labs in Korea. It plans to expand to the automotive, electronics, and machinery industries through further functionality enhancements.
The representative added, “In our automation systems, collaborative robots function as human arms, autonomous mobile robots as legs, and 3D vision as eyes. By integrating AI, which acts as the human brain, into our robot automation systems, we aim to deliver versatile robotic solutions for industrial sites and service environments like food tech.”
FIX 2024 featured specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs focusing on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 at EXCO’s East Wing showcased trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services. Meanwhile, the 2024 ICT Convergence Expo Korea, held in the West Wing, exhibited AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. The 2024 Daegu Robot Expo displayed industrial robots, humanoid robots, and digital transformation solutions for the robotics industry. The “Startup Arena” was introduced to facilitate meetings between startups and experts from startup accelerators like Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play.
