L&F participated in the Future Innovation Tech Expo 2024 (FIX 2024), held from Wednesday, October 23, to Saturday, October 26, at Daegu EXCO.
Founded in 2000 to manufacture and sell BLU for LCDs, L&F launched its lithium-ion battery cathode material business in 2005 through its subsidiary, L&F New Materials. According to a company representative, the company has positioned itself as a top-tier global player since 2010.
In 2016, L&F and L&F New Materials merged to enhance the company’s focus on cathode materials and aim to become a global leader. L&F has optimized resource allocation and is driving the development and commercialization of next-generation products in green energy and other electronic material sectors, leveraging the synergy from the merger.
At FIX 2024, L&F introduced its cathode materials and essential lithium-ion battery components. The cobalt-free cathode material stands out for its balanced price, safety, and capacity performance. The company also highlighted its polycrystalline cathode material, which is widely used and offers excellent driving range and power.
L&F stated, “Our product’s competitiveness lies in custom-designed cathode materials, exceptional process control, and high-quality products. With extensive mass production experience, we have been recognized for our R&D capabilities as the lead company in various government projects. We can design and supply custom products tailored to the specific characteristics of each customer’s battery.”
FIX 2024 featured specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs focusing on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 at EXCO’s East Wing showcased trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services. Meanwhile, the 2024 ICT Convergence Expo Korea, held in the West Wing, exhibited AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. The 2024 Daegu Robot Expo displayed industrial robots, humanoid robots, and digital transformation solutions for the robotics industry. The “Start-up Arena” was introduced to facilitate meetings between startups and experts from startup accelerators like Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play.
