Wacco Motors participated in the Future Innovation Tech Expo 2024 (FIX 2024), held from Wednesday, October 23, to Saturday, October 26, at Daegu EXCO.
Founded in 2002, Wacco Motors produces 2 million automotive motors annually. The company has applied BLDC motor technology for cars to develop its own SIDE motor for electric bikes. With strong sales records, it is establishing itself as a domestic electric motorcycle market leader.
At the exhibition, they actively introduced the X10 electric motorcycle. Users can choose a model that suits their environment, and the battery platform (two batteries) can be subscribed to or owned, allowing for direct charging.
The bike uses globally recognized LG Energy Solution batteries with safety diagnosis technology. It has passed tests for shock, combustion, electric shock, and submersion, proving its safety. Users can also store two extra batteries, which can be swapped out at any time.
A Wacco Motors representative explained, “The wide footrest enhances convenience. The bike can operate with four batteries, two of which can be used as backup. The 8kW side motor delivers direct power, providing high output.”
He continued, “The X10 features a CBS brake system that improves braking stability on straight roads. The TFT dashboard and LED backlighting on the switches make operating easy, even in dark conditions.”
FIX 2024 featured specialized exhibitions, conferences, and business programs focusing on mobility, robotics, AI, and startups. The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 at EXCO’s East Wing showcased trends in UAM, autonomous driving, batteries, components, and services. Meanwhile, the 2024 ICT Convergence Expo Korea, held in the West Wing, exhibited AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. The 2024 Daegu Robot Expo displayed industrial robots, humanoid robots, and digital transformation solutions for the robotics industry. The “Start-up Arena” was introduced to facilitate meetings between startups and experts from startup accelerators like Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play.
