Daegu Metropolitan City is gearing up for the final preparations of the ‘Future Innovation tech eXpo 2024 (FIX 2024)’, to be held from October 23rd (Wednesday) to 26th (Saturday) at EXCO over four days.
Daegu City has been busily preparing since the beginning of the year to integrate its previously successful specialized exhibitions in future industries into FIX, aiming to foster it as a leading exhibition representing global advanced industry convergence trends.
The exhibition will initially feature cutting-edge technologies and an ecosystem of industries such as future mobility, robotics, and ABB (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain) areas. Global technology companies, including Hyundai, Kia, Tesla, ABB Korea, RoMeLa, KT, and SK C&C, are expected to participate.
Additionally, side events, such as high-level conferences featuring the world’s top experts, export consultation meetings, purchasing consultation meetings, and the Innovation Awards program, are planned to nurture FIX 2024 as South Korea’s leading integrated platform for innovative technologies.
A Global Assembly of Future-Changing Innovative Technologies at the FIX Exhibition
As of August 30th, the exhibition has received participation applications from 451 companies for 2,000 booths, making it scheduled to be held as the largest new industry exhibition in the country. It will consist of four specialized exhibitions in mobility, robotics, ABB, and startups, conferences by innovative technology sectors, business programs such as purchasing and export consultation meetings, and public experiential zones, including mobility test-ride events.
At the 2024 Korea Future Mobility Expo in the East Hall of EXCO, automakers like Hyundai, Kia, GM, and Tesla, as well as secondary battery and part producers like Samsung SDI, have confirmed their participation. Notably, Hyundai Mobis will demonstrate ‘Mobion,’ which the company introduced at CES 2024.
At the 2024 Korea ICT Convergence Expo, technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technology will be displayed. Companies like SK C&C and KT will participate in introducing ICT solutions leading the digital transformation era. ESTsoft will showcase real-time interactive AI humans, and Skonec Entertainment will enable public experiences of VR-based metaverse game content.
Additionally, the 13th Daegu International Robot Industry Expo will feature industry-leading robotics solutions from Swiss ABB Korea, US-based RoMeLa, and Bear Robotics, among others. These include industrial, humanoid, service robots, and parts and services industries. Notably, HD Hyundai Robotics plans to unveil a new industrial robot product.
Furthermore, a new ‘Startup Arena’ (specialized startup exhibition) will be launched, arranging meetings with about 80 startups and startup incubation experts from Samsung C-Lab, Plug and Play, and others.
Various startup-related events, such as Plug and Play Korea Expo 2024, Global Innovator Festa, and Gaia-X (E.U data ecosystem project), will be held concurrently, heightening expectations for the early discovery of future-leading innovative technologies.
