Light Bridge (CEO Jong-Hoon Kim) participated in H2 MEET 2024, held from September 25 to 27 at KINTEX, Goyang.

Light Bridge, a Korean company, has been developing water electrolysis solutions to produce green hydrogen, a clean energy source. The company has made a name for itself in the global hydrogen industry by proposing standardized electrolyzer stacks based on its advanced material technology, which offers high performance and cost-efficiency. It also became the first in the industry to introduce modular electrolysis technology optimized for intermittent power sources, gaining significant attention.

At the exhibition, Light Bridge introduced the ‘LBE-48C’ alkaline electrolyzer stack and the ‘LBEX-40K’ integrated electrolyzer system.

The LBE-48C, a 10kW stack made from 48 cells with a voltage characteristic of 1.8V per cell, boasts a current density of over 500mA/㎠. The LBEX-40K, composed of four modularized stacks, features an integrated Balance of Plant (BOP) system and control program. The 40kW system can produce over 10,000 liters of hydrogen per hour and is designed to maintain operation even if one stack malfunctions, ensuring high productivity, durability, and ease of maintenance.

Additionally, Light Bridge showcased the H-Bridge, a system capable of charging and hydrogen production, and a purification model that can achieve hydrogen purity of up to 99.9997%, emphasizing high energy efficiency.

A company representative stated, “According to the Global Footprint Network (GFN), humanity’s demand for resources and waste emissions has exceeded the Earth’s capacity for regeneration and absorption.” They added, “In response, our company is committed to finding optimal energy sources within the hydrogen community and seeking collaboration opportunities with other industry players through business and exhibition participation.”

They further emphasized, “We will continue to expand our AEM-type electrolyzer solutions to stabilize costs and develop PEM stacks, enhancing our ability to cater to various hydrogen energy systems. Light Bridge aims to establish itself as Korea’s leading electrolyzer technology company while contributing to the global hydrogen industry’s growth.”
