Orientum Co., Ltd. (CEO Seung-Hyeon Bang) announced that it will participate in CES 2024, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA from Tuesday, January 9 to January 12, 2020 (local time) next year.
Orientum is a quantum computing venture company that develops application software that makes quantum computing easy to use. We are building a financial platform by developing and integrating various financial algorithms such as portfolio optimization, and are developing an urban traffic distribution algorithm and a climate prediction algorithm. Additionally, we are developing middleware that can connect application algorithm platforms regardless of the type of hardware platform, such as superconductivity or ion capture.
At CES 2024, Orientum introduces a new technology, Quantum Algorithm. One of the advantages of quantum computing is its exponential calculation ability. Quantum computers can quickly solve certain types of calculations and can simultaneously explore multiple solutions through enhanced parallelism, shortening problem-solving time, officials explained. It can be applied to all areas of finance, including financial portfolio optimization, fraud detection, and risk management, and the traffic traffic algorithm can reduce social costs by quickly calculating and distributing traffic congested by time zone. The characteristic of the weather prediction algorithm was that it can influence all industries by quickly calculating the collected climate data and making climate predictions.
Specifically, quantum finance algorithm research is being internationally jointly developed with the French company PASQAL and H Bank. The development of quantum traffic algorithms is limited to Seoul City, and the development of quantum climate prediction algorithms is also scheduled to be carried out through international joint development (France or Germany).
In addition, Orientum signed a partnership (MOU) with NVIDA of the United States in December. NVIDA cuQuantum provides an SDK comprised of optimized libraries and tools to accelerate quantum computer workflow. Regarding this, an Orientum official said, “NVIDA Tensor Core GPU provides developers with a powerful tool that can increase the speed of quantum circuit simulations based on state vector and tensor network methods by several orders of magnitude using cuQuantum.” cuQuantum Appliance We are building a quantum algorithm development environment to enable simulation software to be used in containers optimized to run on the latest NVIDIA DGX™ systems and HGX systems.”
He continued, “We plan to complete the POC development of quantum finance algorithms and traffic algorithms in 2024 and focus on building a test bed in 2025. “The quantum climate prediction algorithm is scheduled to be developed in the second half of 2024 based on papers from the first half of 2024, and we plan to provide services for real financial transactions as a quantum platform in 2026.”
Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an exhibition where you can see the flow of innovative technologies around the world at a glance and is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 2006, and has been selected through ‘BEST OF CES’ and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA’, which select the best innovative products, companies and technologies. has been in progress. In addition, CES on-site issues are vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
The CES 2024 Seoul Unified Hall will be operated at the largest scale in terms of exhibition area, number of participating companies, and number of participating supporters since Seoul City’s first participation in CES in 2020. The Seoul Integration Center, in which 13 organizations collaborate and participate, is an important step in Seoul’s efforts to make Seoul a mecca for startups, and 17 of the companies participating in the Seoul Integration Center proved this by receiving innovation awards. The participating institutions in the Seoul Unification Center are ▲SBA ▲Seoul Bio Hub ▲Campus Town ▲AI Yangjae Hub ▲Gwanak-gu ▲Yonsei University ▲Korea University ▲Chung-Ang University ▲Sogang University ▲Kookmin University ▲Hanyang University ▲Konkuk University ▲Kyunghee University. Not only the Seoul Metropolitan Government, institutions, and companies, but also supporters through industry-academia cooperation are matched 1:1 with companies, and 85 supporters, the largest number, will participate.
