PAI Media LAB Co., Ltd. (CEO Byeong-sang Yeo) announced that it will participate in CES 2024, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA from Tuesday, January 9th to January 12th (Friday, local time) next year.
PAI Media LAB, an AI startup founded in 2021, is solving everyday problems using AI and media. We have expertise in industrial AI algorithm development and consulting, and we are building AI algorithm research and development and service pipelines that can satisfy the strict conditions that must be verified for practicality in industrial sites, commercializing them, and applying them within smart factories.
‘CAI location’, which will be introduced at this exhibition, is a camera solution specialized for location determination for a safer working environment. By developing AI-based 2D wrapping technology, it is known that the positions of objects in the work environment, such as workers, robots, and heavy equipment, can be measured with an error of less than 5 cm by installing a camera without attaching a marker or sensor. Through this, it provides basic data that helps create a safer workplace and improve productivity.
An official from PAI Media LAB said, “By merging up to 16 cameras in one processing, we can eliminate blind spots and monitor objects such as heavy equipment, robots, and workers in real time without missing a moment of the situation.” He added, “Our CAI location is “Its performance and reliability are already being proven at major smart factories and shipyards at home and abroad,” he explained.
In fact, this year, it was applied to △Hyundai Motors Group’s two domestic test laboratories and about 120 sites in Singapore’s electric vehicle manufacturing process to monitor worker safety and productivity △Application of plant movement and safety monitoring within the offshore plant construction site of the shipyard in Daebul Industrial Complex △ It has achieved results including selection as an excellent location analysis model by the Korea Communications Commission. It is scheduled to be sold to one Korean shipyard, two vehicle manufacturing plants, and two overseas vehicle manufacturing plants in 2024.
PAI Media LAB announced its goal to participate in CES 2024 to showcase ‘CAI Location’ in the global market and secure new partners to apply its solutions. In particular, we are seeking opportunities for cooperation with global companies that require location information at work sites such as smart factories and shipyards. Regarding this, an official added, “We plan to establish a leading position in the field of AI-based location measurement technology by using CES 2024 as an optimal opportunity to build our global network and expand business opportunities.”
He continued, “Location information, one of the most basic information in building a smart factory, is very important metadata. Through this, it is being used in various fields such as safety, productivity, autonomous driving, and robots. To this end, PAI Media LAB develops and sells solutions that are easily accessible to anyone and have been developed to be easy to install and operate, and are being applied to the vehicle manufacturing process within major domestic and international conglomerates.” He added, “Currently, lightweight and edge technologies are concentrated. The development of an integrated AI analysis camera has been completed and commercialization has begun. In the future, we plan to diversify into industry-specific customized products such as shipyard and military products to suit various field situations. “We will continue to strive to improve precision and reliability so that it can be used in more fields.”
Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an exhibition where you can see the flow of innovative technologies around the world at a glance and is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 2006, and has been selected through ‘BEST OF CES’ and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA’, which select the best innovative products, companies and technologies. has been in progress. In addition, CES on-site issues are vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.
The CES 2024 Seoul Unified Hall will be operated at the largest scale in terms of exhibition area, number of participating companies, and number of participating supporters since Seoul City’s first participation in CES in 2020. The Seoul Integration Center, in which 13 organizations collaborate and participate, is an important step in Seoul’s efforts to make Seoul a mecca for startups, and 17 of the companies participating in the Seoul Integration Center proved this by receiving innovation awards. The participating institutions in the Seoul Unification Center are ▲SBA ▲Seoul Bio Hub ▲Campus Town ▲AI Yangjae Hub ▲Gwanak-gu ▲Yonsei University ▲Korea University ▲Chung-Ang University ▲Sogang University ▲Kookmin University ▲Hanyang University ▲Konkuk University ▲Kyunghee University. Not only the Seoul Metropolitan Government, institutions, and companies, but also supporters through industry-academia cooperation are matched 1:1 with companies, and 85 supporters, the largest number, will participate.
