IPIS LAB (CEO Baek Jun-ki) announced that it will participate in CES 2024, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas, USA in January next year.

IPIS LAB is a company that developed and commercialized the ‘DataGenix’ series, which generates large amounts of data required for AI (artificial intelligence) learning. This is a solution that synthesizes a large amount of learning data from a small amount of data. MSG-GAN (Multi-Scale Generative Adversarial Network) generates synthetic data by considering the various scales of the image.

In order to advance the training quality of AI models, a vast amount of data learning process is required, which requires a long time and a large investment of money. However, the company explains that by using Datagenics, the data acquisition and labeling work requirements for companies developing AI applications can be reduced.

The DataGenix series consists of two types: ▲DataGenix-Alpha (Alpha) and ▲DataGenix-Epsilon (Epsilon), and IPIS LAB plans to introduce it at CES 2024 to attract global corporate customers.

Alpha Solution creates various images by receiving background photos and object photos and combining variously changed objects with the background. Through this, training data for video analysis AI models can be secured, and natural synthesis results are maintained through multi-scale video analysis.

Epsilon is a solution that creates pairs of high-quality images and low-quality images, and provides images to be used for training AI models to improve image quality (upscaling). In particular, the circular generation network repeatedly generates improved and deteriorated images, greatly expanding the amount of training data that can be secured.

An official from IPIS LAB said, “AI technology is already being used in various industrial fields according to the 4th Industrial Revolution, and its importance is also increasing day by day,” adding, “However, many developers and companies are still having difficulty securing data for AI model training. Meanwhile, our company hopes to provide a clear alternative by introducing innovative technologies to solve these problems at this CES,” he said, explaining the reason for participating in this exhibition.

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an exhibition where you can see the flow of innovative technologies around the world at a glance and is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 2006, and has been selected through ‘BEST OF CES’ and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA’, which select the best innovative products, companies and technologies. has been in progress. In addition, CES on-site issues are vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.

The CES 2024 Seoul Unified Hall will be operated at the largest scale in terms of exhibition area, number of participating companies, and number of participating supporters since Seoul City’s first participation in CES in 2020. The Seoul Integration Center, in which 13 organizations collaborate and participate, is an important step in Seoul’s efforts to make Seoul a mecca for startups, and 17 of the companies participating in the Seoul Integration Center proved this by receiving innovation awards. The participating institutions in the Seoul Unification Center are ▲SBA ▲Seoul Bio Hub ▲Campus Town ▲AI Yangjae Hub ▲Gwanak-gu ▲Yonsei University ▲Korea University ▲Chung-Ang University ▲Sogang University ▲Kookmin University ▲Hanyang University ▲Konkuk University ▲Kyunghee University. Not only the Seoul Metropolitan Government, institutions, and companies, but also supporters through industry-academia cooperation are matched 1:1 with companies, and 85 supporters, the largest number, will participate.
