This business partnership agreement ceremony agrees that eco-friendly electric bus public transportation in the North Chungcheong region will begin in earnest and contribute to strengthening future national competitiveness, and is expected to see a synergy effect in promoting joint development in the autonomous driving mobility industry.
Spring Cloud provides artificial intelligence-based self-driving mobility services and data analysis services, and is developing core technologies and advancing business models for safer and more convenient self-driving shuttle services.
Woojin Industrial Systems is a company located in North Chungcheong Province that develops and sells eco-friendly electric buses based on new transportation systems and railway vehicle manufacturing technology. In particular, the eco-friendly Apollo electric bus is a low-floor city bus that takes into consideration the transportation vulnerable. Woojin Industrial Systems’ Apollo electric bus is achieving remarkable results in a short period of time, ranking third in cumulative supply among 15 domestic and foreign manufacturers supplying large electric buses to Korea.
AV Genius is an autonomous driving company that plans to develop self-driving car safety evaluation technology and provide self-driving car simulation and actual vehicle evaluation services on the largest scale in Korea at Chungbuk National University’s Ochang C-Track (self-driving car test bed).
The reason why the three companies leading the domestic mobility industry came together and signed a business agreement is ‘efforts to advance the era of self-driving public transportation through eco-friendly electric buses.’
The plan is to solidify North Chungcheong’s position as a leading region for future industries by starting the operation of the self-driving pilot operation zone (Osong Station – Sejong Terminal) in the Chungcheong region with the goal of the second half of 2022, and by starting the era of public transportation and autonomous driving.
