Hitchmed (Co-CEOs Yoo Ji-sang and Park So-hyun), a company specializing in smart AI electronic questionnaire solutions, announced on the 29th of last month that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Kakao Healthcare (CEO Hwang Hee) for the development and advancement of an artificial intelligence questionnaire system.

The business agreement ceremony held at Kakao Healthcare’s Pangyo headquarters was attended by officials from both companies, including Hitchmed’s Yoo Ji-sang and co-CEO Park So-hyun, and Kakao Healthcare’s CEO Hwang Hee.

HitchMed and Kakao Healthcare combine the expertise of medical staff (doctors, pharmacists, nurses) with abundant clinical experience and the artificial intelligence technology of both companies to expand the range of symptoms and use global standards such as Snomed CT and CDM for everything from major symptoms to diagnosis prediction. We plan to apply it and upgrade it to expand the service overseas.

HitchMed Co-CEOs Yoo Ji-sang and Park So-hyun said, “Through electronic medical examination, patients have the advantage of being able to receive recommendations for the correct department or increase face-to-face treatment time with a doctor. “Currently, only some large hospitals are using patient surveys through tablets right before treatment. In the future, we plan to link this with hospitals’ electronic medical records to avoid repetitive questions and answers from medical staff and reduce staff fatigue,” he said. “We plan to develop more sophisticated solutions through close cooperation with Kakao Healthcare and engage in global business in the future.”

HitchMed developed the multilingual (English, Japanese, Chinese) online medical examination platform ‘Easydoc’ to enable patients suspected of COVID-19 to check major symptoms before visiting the hospital since 2020, and has already provided customized health services for companies such as Shinsegae International. A medical examination service was also provided.
