POSCO ICT announced on the 18th that it had supplied its self-developed Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to the National Credit Union Federation.

POSCO ICT implemented automation by applying A.WORKS, its RPA, to 9 tasks, including credit and deduction, of the National Credit Union Federation. We have been providing solutions to financial institutions, including Hana Financial Group.

RPA, which automates tasks previously performed manually, is being actively adopted because it can automate tasks with relatively low investment costs in a short period of time without making major changes to the existing business system.

In particular, in the financial sector, a lot of standardized repetitive tasks occur at each branch, and human errors such as manual entry errors can be expected to be reduced.

The credit union estimates that it will be able to save about 3,000 hours of work time per year through this pilot introduction, and plans to expand the scope of application to 873 member associations nationwide in the future.

POSCO ICT launched Aworks, an RPA solution, in 2019 and supplied it to various fields such as distribution, manufacturing, and public sector, including financial institutions such as Hana Bank, Shinsegae Group, Iljin Group, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Agro-Fisheries Products Distribution Corporation, and Daiso.

Last year, it was upgraded to allow multiple bots to collaborate with each other and perform complex and important tasks, beyond the ability of a single bot to handle simple repetitive tasks. In addition, in preparation for the era of one bot per employee, we plan to release Aworks 3.0 within the year by simplifying the process so that those in charge can directly write scripts (programs) that instruct bots to do work.
