The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeonggi Innovation Center’) announced that it successfully held the ‘2022 7th Startup 815 SEED’ on the 21st.
Startup 815 SEED is an IR program where the Gyeonggi Innovation Center collaborates with angel investors, accelerators, and venture capitals to discover very early-stage startups and support them in securing investment networks and attracting investments. It is held on the third Thursday of every month at the Pangyo Startup Zone.
A total of four prospective startup companies participated in this event. ▲Joongsik Kang (short-term job matching platform) ▲Dongju Kim (‘Data Plug’, a wiki service that shares knowledge documents by storing work information shared via messenger with one click) ▲Jongmyeong Lee (special crop cultivation and distribution platform for chefs) ▲ Seongyeon Kim (‘Dailil’, a content curation platform for working people) introduced the company’s core technology and business plan.
As investment reviewers, reviewers interested in discovering and investing in early-stage startups, including Infobank, Mashup Angels, Etri Holdings, Blue Ocean Investors Association, and North Mountain Angel Club, participated.
An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “We will focus on very early-stage and early-stage startups, focusing on the startup zone,” and “Through SEED IR, we will preemptively discover innovative, early-stage and early-stage startups and provide opportunities for successful investment attraction while providing various fostering support.” “We plan to expand it,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Startup Zone is Korea’s largest startup support cluster, established in 2017 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to intensively foster promising startups in new industries, and operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
