Kakao Entertainment announced that the highly anticipated new work ‘Nether Tsugai’ by Hiromu Arakawa, well known for the manga ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’, will be exclusively released for the first time in Korea on Kakao Page.

This is the first opportunity to see the new work of Hiromu Akara and Hiromu, who has a large fan base in Korea, in an official translation, and is expected to attract great interest from domestic comics fans.

Kakao Entertainment will serialize author Hiromu Arakawa’s ‘Tsugai in the Nether’ exclusively on Kakao Page for three months starting on the 29th. In keeping with the nature of the work being a monthly magazine serial, episodes 1 to 5, previously serialized in Japan, will be released at once on July 29th, and an additional episode’s content will be released on the 25th of every month. The format is launched not as a webtoon, but as a converted version of a published comic.

As is well known, ‘Tsugai of the Nether’ is a new work by author Hiromu Arakawa, who captivated global readers with ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’, and is a work that has attracted the attention of fans at home and abroad. ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’, which depicts the exciting adventures of the Elric brothers, genius alchemists, has become a masterpiece among comic book fans, containing not only thrilling storytelling and action, but also deep insight into war, good and evil, and human nature. I ranked it. It won various comics and animation awards, and its circulation exceeded 40 million copies in Japan.

‘Tsugai of the Nether’ is a fantasy boy’s manga that the author has released for the first time in a long time, and it shows a huge and detailed worldview, unique characters, and solid narrative and action just as big as ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’. The main character of the work, Yur, is a boy who lives in a small village in the mountains. Yur’s life, which was spent quietly and peacefully in the great outdoors, unfolds as he encounters the village being attacked and the villagers being murdered. Mysterious abilities are also discovered in her twin sister Asa, who is imprisoned near the village, and Yur sets out to find the secrets of the village, which has become full of questions.

Previously, Kakao Page serialized ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ as a color webtoon and established a relationship with writer Hiromu Arakawa. Through this meaningful project to produce a color webtoon of one of the most famous masterpieces, nearly 1 million readers have had the opportunity to experience ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ in a new way.

Hyunsoo Hwang, CEO of Kakao Entertainment’s story division, said, “It is meaningful to present on Kakao Page the new work ‘Tsugai of the Nether’ by author Hiromu Arakawa, which is receiving a lot of attention following ‘Fullmetal Alchemist.’” He added, “Kakao Entertainment will continue to provide diverse story knowledge. “We will strive to increase entertainment for users by planning and presenting property rights (IP).”
