SMT Co., Ltd., a startup that provides solutions to accurately measure, analyze, and predict ‘water’ and ‘energy’, was finally selected for the ‘Green Venture Startup Promotion Project’ supported by the Gyeonggi Province Economic & Science Promotion Agency and the Korea District Heating Corporation.
The Green Venture Startup Development Project is a project by the Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency and the Korea District Heating Corporation to discover and foster excellent companies with high growth potential to create a low-carbon, green venture ecosystem. The companies that are finally selected will be provided with space, commercialization support, and accelerator programs during the support period. Companies with excellent IR presentations will receive prize money and support for market development.
SMT is currently a company located in the Pangyo Startup Zone, established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Korea Startup Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center. We provide products and services that predict energy demand through IoT/ICT-based measurement and analysis solutions for efficient energy management and hydrothermal power generation thermal efficiency system monitoring consisting of digital twins.
As carbon neutrality is pursued following the government’s recent Green New Deal policy, the market for new and renewable energy and energy efficiency is growing rapidly, and the urgency of solutions that increase energy production and consumption efficiency is emerging.
SMT is expected to contribute to national competitiveness by creating a new, eco-friendly future innovative growth engine through solutions that increase the efficiency of energy use through accurate measurement and analysis of thermal energy and AI.
Lee Dong-wook, CEO of SMT, said, “At a time when the importance of new and renewable energy is rising in response to the climate crisis in accordance with the government’s Green New Deal policy, we will practice ESG management based on sustainable development goals by being selected for the green venture startup fostering project. “We will work hard to achieve this,” he said.
