Gyeonggi Content Agency (hereinafter referred to as Gyeongkonjin) will hold the ‘2022 G-Connection Export Consultation’ to support the overseas expansion of Gyeonggi-do content companies for a total of three days from the 23rd to the 25th.

This ‘2022 G-Connection Export Consultation’ is an event for content companies to make successful business contracts and expand their overseas networks. The export consultation session is divided into four sections: ▲GameEXP (games) ▲K-GLO (animation/comics/characters) ▲X-WANT (webtoons/web novels) ▲MAKE-G (broadcasting/video/music/advertising) It is conducted as an online video meeting between the matched content company and the buyer.

Content companies that hold intellectual property rights (IP) include Arimoa (global animation ‘Chi Chi Ping Ping’), Wemad (production of drama ‘Red Sleeves’), Tiny Studio (global RPG ‘Ti Tiny’), and Toon Plus (Kakao Page). 35 companies located in Gyeonggi-do, including the serial webtoon ‘Arachi’, are participating.

Buyers include 32 companies from 14 countries including the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia, including Game Forge, Cafe Bazaar, and Mango TV. In particular, domestic companies operating global businesses, such as NHN, will participate and discuss various types of content export contracts.

Previously, at the ‘G-Connection Seminar’ last July, one-on-one consulting was provided by field experts for companies participating in the export consultation meeting. Through customized diagnosis of IP planning, export, and production by expert mentors in fields such as games, animation, broadcasting, and webtoons, participating companies solidified their business meeting strategies for export contracts.

A Gyeongkonjin official said, “This export consultation is for IP export of all content genres, and we plan to promote in-depth consulting, a meetup program, and the second export consultation in November. “We are looking forward to seeing results from Gyeonggi-do’s competitive content,” he said.
