Kakao announced on the 13th that it will revamp its online business education program ‘Kakao Business Seminar’ to enhance accessibility and convenience and introduce a variety of customized programs.
The Kakao Business Seminar is an educational program that introduces Kakao’s advertising and business platforms, such as Kakao Bizboard and Kakao Talk channels, and delivers information and know-how necessary for business. To date, the total number of applicants has reached approximately 72,000, of which more than 90% are small and medium-sized businesses, which are receiving a great response as they provide useful information that can actually be used in business.
Kakao converted the existing face-to-face training to an online method starting in September 2020 to allow more partners to easily access the training, and has been regularly offering about 20 lectures every month. Since last April, the topic has been expanded to include taxation, start-up success stories, and branding, and additional new lectures that provide practical help have been opened.
With this reorganization, Kakao plans to further strengthen its partner support by introducing new VOD seminars, providing playbooks in PDF format, and operating business support programs.
First, for business owners who have difficulty participating in live seminars, we are introducing a new VOD-type seminar that can be accessed at any time. You can select pre-made video lectures and watch them anytime, anywhere, and you can check seminars on various topics sequentially.
To aid the understanding of all business partners participating in the seminar, a playbook in PDF format is also provided. About 30 playbooks consist of conversational tutorials so that anyone can use Kakao’s business platform easily and quickly, and can be used along with VOD seminars.
In addition, we plan to introduce a support program within the year that will provide free Kakao Moment cash when partners achieve step-by-step set goals so that they can continue to grow by utilizing Kakao’s advertisements, services, and business platforms.
Meanwhile, Kakao is running an online contest from the 7th to the 26th with the theme of cases and success stories of directly using Kakao’s advertising, services, and business platforms in business. Anyone who has used KakaoTalk channels, Kakao Moments, etc. for business in the past year can participate through the website, and preference is given to those who have taken a Kakao Business Seminar.
Additionally, one best and 19 best films will be selected and a total of 29 million won worth of free Kakao Moment cash will be provided. Offline awards will be held in October for business operators selected as examples, and networking events will also be prepared to communicate together.
Businesses who wish to participate in the Kakao Business Seminar can access the ‘Kakao Business Seminar’ website, select the desired lecture, and submit an application for participation. In the case of a live seminar, the host and participants can communicate in real time and ask questions directly. Related news, such as seminar topics and schedules, can be quickly checked by adding the ‘Kakao Business’ KakaoTalk channel.
Park Hyun-seok, Vice President of Kakao Biz Partner Office, said, “It is part of Kakao’s continuous efforts to grow together with businesses in various fields, including small business owners,” and added, “We will develop it into a business education platform that provides a variety of education and support programs.”
