    [Pangyo Game & Contents] Krafton Battlegrounds, global e-sports ‘PUBG Continental Series 7’ held

    Krafton Co., Ltd. announced the opening of the PUBG Continental Series (PCS) 7, a PUBG: Battleground (hereinafter referred to as Battleground) global esports competition, and announced details of the competition.

    The PCS 7, which determines the strongest Battleground Esports by region, is ▲Asia (Korea, China, Japan, Chinese Taipei/Hong Kong/Macau) ▲Asia Pacific (Southeast Asia, Oceania) ▲America (North America, Latin America) ▲Europe (Europe, Middle East) &Africa) will be held online in a total of four regions. The Americas and Asia Pacific competitions will be held for two weeks each, from September 16th to 25th, and Asia and Europe will be held from September 30th to October 9th. Participating teams play five matches a day, three days a week, for a prize of $250,000 per region.

    There are a total of 16 participating teams in each region, and they were selected through regional preliminaries and previous competition results. PCS 7 Asia includes the top 6 teams from the recently concluded ‘PUBG Weekly Series (PWS): Phase 2’, the top 1 team from the Japanese region, the top 1 team from the Chinese Taipei/Hong Kong/Macao region, and China’s ‘ The top eight teams from the PUBG Champions League (PCL) Summer will participate.

    In Korea, PWS: Phase 2 champion KWANGDONG FREECS, Danawa e-sports, DWG KIA, Gen.G, GHIBLI ESPORTS, BGP ( (I’m hungry) A total of 6 teams will participate.

    PCS 7 applies a point rule that determines the final ranking by adding up ranking points and kill points. The team that accumulates the most accumulated points in a total of 30 matches over two weeks becomes the PCS 7 champion in each region.

    The total prize money is $1 million (about 1.38 billion won), and $250,000 per region (about 340 million won). The first place prize money in PCS 7 Asia is $80,000, and the prize money will be paid differently up to the 16th place team. In addition, ▲$5,000 each to the player with the most kills (KILL LEADER), ▲the team with the most impressive competition (INSANE SQUAD), and ▲$2,500 each to the four players selected by voting from the selection team (ALL-PCS TEAM).     The total prize money is expected to increase further through crowdfunding through the winner prediction event ‘Pick’em Challenge’. 30% of the profits from PCS 7 commemorative item sales will be added to the total prize money and distributed differentially to participating teams according to their rankings.

    This Pick’em Challenge is conducted in two parts: ▲predicting the winning team, and ▲’Team Faceoff’, which is a rivalry vote. You can vote for up to 7 teams per region to predict the winning team, and if your prediction is successful, you can earn 100,000 EP (esports points). Team Face Off predicts which team is expected to have a higher final score among a pair of teams designated as regional rivals, and EP can be earned if the prediction is successful.

    Voting rights can be obtained through exclusive codes revealed during the PCS 7 live broadcast, participation in in-game events, and purchase of items. There are a total of 8 types of PCS 7 commemorative items that provide voting rights: ▲PCS7 Mega Bundle (5 voting tickets) ▲PCS7 Weapon & Parachute Set (3 voting tickets) ▲PCS7 Clothing Bundle (1 voting ticket) ▲PCS7 Gear Set (1 voting ticket) Chapter) ▲PCS7 Emote Pack (1 voting ticket) ▲PCS7 SKS Pack (1 voting ticket) ▲PCS7 Mk12 Pack (1 voting ticket) ▲PCS7 Parachute Pack (1 voting ticket).
