Nexon is introducing a mobile MMOSLG (Multiple Access Strategy Simulation Game) using the ‘Civilization’ intellectual property rights (IP) developed by American game production company 2K (a development subsidiary of Take2 Interactive Software).
Nexon Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Jeong-heon) unveiled its new mobile MMOSLG ‘Civilization: Reign of Power’ developed by Endrim Co., Ltd. for the first time.
Endrim, the developer of ‘Civilization: Reign of Power’, has experience producing and successfully producing a number of strategy simulation games such as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War’, ‘Crossfire: Warzone’, and ‘Battle of the Seas: Oceans and Empires’. .
‘Civilization: Reign of Power’ is based on ‘Sid Meier’s Civilization V (Civilization 5)’, a popular game in the Civilization series, and is characterized as being the first mobile game using the ‘Civilization’ IP to be implemented in the MMOSLG genre. . It faithfully inherits the various growth elements of the original work and the fun of establishing development strategies for the times, while also including large-scale PvP content on an alliance basis.
Nexon opened the official teaser site for ‘Civilization: Reign of Power’ and asked ‘Would you like to be civilized on mobile?’ The text raised expectations for the release of a new work. Additionally, the teaser video revealed the game’s brand identity (BI) along with the key keywords of civilization.
