City Sharing Platform Co., Ltd., a social venture company that develops and operates a Korean-style unmanned vending system (Ice Go), is developing ▲ an ‘unmanned liquor and cigarette vending machine’ that can sell both alcohol and cigarettes unmanned ▲ a vending machine that allows 24-hour store access through facial recognition. It was announced that the ‘Facial Recognition Entry/Exit Device’ has been additionally selected as a key technology for the ‘Smart Store Technology Supply Project’ by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Business Market Corporation.
‘Smart Store’ is a small business support program of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Business Market Promotion Corporation, which provides government subsidies of up to 5 million won for the general type and 15 million won for the leading type, with 30% of the small business owner’s own burden.
The city sharing platform has been supplying unmanned alcohol vending machines that sell alcohol through facial recognition to small business stores, and plans to supply ‘alcohol and cigarette unmanned vending machines’ that can sell alcohol and cigarettes together in the future.
Previously, City Sharing Platform was selected as a technology supplier for ‘Smart Store’, a small business support program, and is supplying alcohol vending machines to small business stores.
CEO Park Jin-seok said, “With the additional selection of facial recognition entry and exit machines and cigarette vending machines, we expect that the small business store project, ‘manned stores during the day, unmanned stores at night’, which is being carried out by the city sharing platform, will gain further momentum.”
