Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as Gyeonggi Innovation Center) recently signed a business agreement with new VC Philosophia Ventures Co., Ltd. to discover and invest in startups.

Through this agreement, the two companies are expected to jointly invest in and follow-up management of startups.

After investing in promising startups, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center provides various follow-up support such as ▲ commercialization funding support and linkage (including TIPS support) ▲ review of office space support in Pangyo for startups ▲ direct and indirect investment linkage with the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, and Philosophia Ventures plans to make follow-up investments.

Philosophia Ventures is a new VC (domestic corporate startup) launched in 2022. Focusing on start-up teams in the seed to series A stage, we discover, invest in, and foster startups in various industries such as Crypto and Metaverse B2B SaaS, healthcare, logistics, edutech, commerce, and AI.

An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center investment team said, “With this agreement, we plan to actively support investment attraction for startups with VCs,” and added, “We will actively match from the beginning and strive to continue through follow-up investments.” .

Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center invested in 25 early-stage companies this year, and two of the invested companies were recommended and selected by TIPS. We plan to form a fund of funds in the second half of 2022, and are expected to discover, invest in, and foster more startups next year.
