    Neowiz Co., Ltd. announced that the PC package game ‘SANNABI’, published by the company and being developed by Wonder Potion, won the Indie Game Award at the Korea Game Awards.

    The Korea Game Awards, organized by the Korea Game Industry Association and hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was held at BEXCO in Busan on the 16th. Games that shone in 2022 were selected in a total of 14 categories, including the Grand Prize, Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Technology Creation Award, Indie Game, and Indie Game Award.

    ‘Sannabi’ received the honor of being selected in the Indie Game Award category. ‘Sannabi’ is a 2D action platformer game featuring Joseon cyberpunk chain action. The unique combination of neon art implemented in dot graphics and the setting of the Joseon Dynasty has enjoyed steady popularity along with the modifier ‘Joseon Cyberpunk’. In fact, it has been receiving ‘overwhelmingly positive (97%)’ reviews since its early access release on the global game distribution platform Steam in June of this year. It is being developed with the goal of launching in the first half of 2023.

    Seunghyun Yoo, CEO of indie game developer Wonder Potion, stood on the podium. CEO Yoo said, “I am grateful to my colleagues and Neowiz for their hard work together,” and added, “I will repay the honor of receiving the award by accelerating development until the official launch.”
