KakaoTalk Shopping, operated by Kakao’s Commerce CIC, has signed an agreement with the Small Business Market Promotion Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Small Business Corporation) to operate a small business support program.
This program will be conducted for 30 small business owners selected from KakaoTalk Store (hereinafter referred to as Talk Store) who applied for participation through a small business. It is characterized by actively utilizing and supporting Kakao’s commerce and services that can help expand online sales channels, such as Talk Store sales training and shopping special exhibitions, Kakao Shopping Live’s live broadcasts, and KakaoTalk channel messages.
First, a training course by a Talk Store professional instructor was held until the 17th. We provided operating know-how on how to use Talk Store and marketing, through in-depth courses including basic courses and individual coaching courses for sellers with little experience in online sales or Talk Store operation.
KakaoTalk Shopping will hold a win-win exhibition, ‘Everyone Smiles Win-Win Talk Deal,’ by collecting products from its partner companies from 5 p.m. on November 18th to the 21st. A total of 30 products, including food, beauty, and fashion, are sold at bargain prices.
In addition, live commerce will be supported through Kakao Shopping Live at 11:30 on the 19th. Among the participating companies, live broadcasts will be held under the theme of representative small business restaurants such as steamed seafood, dakgalbi, and handmade grilled mackerel, which are products of excellent companies. Through this, we plan to provide small business sellers with a sales experience using live broadcasts as well as an opportunity to communicate with customers in real time in an interactive manner.
In addition, Kakao covers the cost of discount coupons, etc., helping more customers experience the excellent products of small business partners.
Kim Mi-hee, director of Kakao Talk Shopping, said, “By supporting high-quality live commerce as well as education and special exhibitions, we want to provide opportunities for small business Talk Store sellers to connect with more consumers and use this as a stepping stone to increase sales.” “We will strengthen coexistence with small business owners through various methods, including collaboration with related organizations,” he said.
Meanwhile, Shopping is expanding its educational support programs and special exhibitions starting this year to ensure the successful digital transformation of small and medium-sized merchants. So far, we have conducted a total of 13 training sessions, including regular programs, and held 15 special exhibitions for small and medium-sized business owners to help expand online sales channels.
