Neople Co., Ltd. announced that it has promoted Action Studio Director Myeong-jin Yoon as its new CEO.
Myeong-jin Yoon, the new CEO, joined Neople as a new employee in 2008, served as the head of the Dungeon & Fighter (hereinafter referred to as Dungeon) development department in 2014, the head of Action Studio in 2017, and the director and general director of Action Studio in 2021. This is ‘Dunpa Man’, CEO of Neople, who has led the development of new ‘Dunpa’ intellectual property (IP) games as well as domestic and international live services.
In particular, he led the heyday of ‘Dunpa’ through stable live services based on a deep understanding of IP and users, and also showed excellent development leadership by successfully launching and achieving box office success of the new game ‘Dunpa Mobile’.
Myungjin Yoon, the new CEO, said, “I consider it a great honor to take on the important role of CEO of Neople. Neople is a company with the ability to create fun and unique action games. “In the future, we will establish ourselves as one of the world’s leading development companies by adopting a bold strategy to further expand the value of IP and strengthening our development capabilities that take advantage of the original fun of games.”
Current CEO Noh Jeong-hwan plans to oversee IP-centered business development at Nexon Korea. CEO Noh Jeong-hwan, who has served as CEO of Neople since February 2018, has strengthened his growth engine through stable live operation of Dungeon & Fighter and Cyphers and active support for new game development during his tenure.
Meanwhile, the new CEO will be officially appointed in November through related procedures such as the board of directors.
