Bit Corporation’s unmanned robot cafe ‘b;eat’ has launched the ‘10,000 Won Happiness Bidori Pack (hereinafter referred to as Bidori Pack)’, which provides 20 cups of Americano for 10,000 won.
The ‘Bidol Pack’, named after the Beat character name ‘Bidol’, is a product that provides 20 cups of Americano for 30 days to customers who prepay 10,000 won through the Beat mobile app. Buyers of the Bidoli Pack will receive a coupon for 20 cups of Americano through the app, and can freely order Americano hot or iced with the coupon, regardless of the number of times it is used per day. All 20 coupons must be used up within just 30 days.
Robot Cafe Beat introduced the Bidol pack on a trial basis at the Beat Songpa Helio City branch last September. As a result, the mobile app usage rate increased significantly with great response from customers. Until just before introduction, the monthly app order rate among users of Robot Cafe Beat Songpa Helio City branch was about 42%, and the remaining 58% were made through kiosks. In the month immediately following the introduction of Bidol Pack in September, the store’s app order rate rose significantly to 68.4%, and in the following month, the order rate was found to be close to 80%.
Accordingly, Robot Cafe Beat decided to officially launch the Bidol pack. First of all, the initial launch has been completed in 23 stores, including the Songpa Helio City branch, mainly directly managed stores, and it is planned to expand to more stores in the future.
The first launch stores are ▲Songpa Helio City Branch ▲Kyunghee University (Seoul) ▲Kyunghee University (International) ▲Seoul Forest Nursing Hospital ▲Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet ▲Shinsegae Department Store (Time Square) ▲Sungkyunkwan University (Seoul) ▲Pangyo Station These are the startup cafe branches ▲ Wangsimni Bitplex branch ▲ Guro Daeryung 7th branch ▲ Daejeon Complex Terminal branch ▲ Garden Five branch ▲ Hanyang University (ERICA) ▲ Homeplus Daejeon Tanbang branch and many corporate cafeteria stores.
Recently, coffee prices have risen due to the rise in coffee bean and milk prices, causing hardship not only for consumers but also for cafe operators. The reason why Robot Cafe Beat came up with a product with an unprecedented price as a contrarian idea in this era of high prices was to increase the number and use of mobile app subscribers and strengthen its capabilities as a ‘platform’ operator through app-specific product planning. Robot Cafe Beat already has more than 200,000 app subscribers, and based on this, it is carrying out various marketing activities such as stamp events, quiz events commemorating the launch of new menus, and various coupon giveaways.
Robot Cafe Bit plans to continue to increase mobile app usage and create synergy by linking Bit’s data utilization capabilities. In addition, the strategy is to lay the foundation for the launch of coffee subscription products in the future, starting with the Bidol pack.
Lee Myung-ho, head of Bit Corporation’s planning division, said, “As a counter-idea in the era of high prices, we planned the Bidol Pack that not only provides benefits to consumers, but also strengthens our platform capabilities through app activation.” He added, “Bidol Pack provides delicious coffee at a discounted price.” “I hope that through this, consumers will be somewhat relieved from the pain of rising prices.”
Meanwhile, Robot Cafe Beat is a futuristic cafe where robot baristas work 24 hours a day and the entire process from ordering to payment, manufacturing, and pickup is carried out unmanned without any permanent staff, and is an optimized solution for small-capital startups. It is rapidly entering office and residential commercial districts across the country, including Seoul, Gyeonggi, Daejeon, and Jeju, and has been expanding the number of stores.
