Onion Five (CEO Jeon In-hyuk), a company that develops and supplies customer support solution Occupy, announced on the 16th that it recently attracted a total of 850 million won in pre-series A investment from Honest Ventures and Hana Ventures.
Occupy is a cloud-based customer support solution that integrates and provides all the functions necessary for customer support work, such as building a digital customer center, inquiry and response management, and reports. Currently, it is being applied to about 70 domestic and foreign games operated by Neowiz, Line Studio, and Kakao Games to manage end users around the world.
Onion Five is a company from Korea’s first global accelerator, ‘Startupbootcamp Amsterdam’, and attracted its second investment from Honest Ventures this year, following the seed investment in 2017. In addition, it won the ‘2nd Early Startup Competition’ of Hana Ventures last year and succeeded in attracting follow-up investment this year.

The company explains that it was possible to attract this investment because Occupy met the market’s needs for customer center operation automation and digital transformation.
Onion Five plans to accelerate its expansion beyond the gaming industry to all industries that require a digital customer center based on investment attraction. In addition, we plan to introduce new functions for end users who want to solve problems as well as customer service agents by utilizing inquiry and response data.
Onion Five CEO Jeon In-hyuk said, “In order to respond to customers who actively communicate and share their experiences, companies have no choice but to manage their customers more closely. We support companies to respond to customers more delicately and easily.” “We are developing Occupy as a solution.”
Meanwhile, Onion Five was selected for the Startup Leap Package support project of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Startup Promotion Agency in 2020 and is receiving specialized customized support such as commercialization support and mentoring from the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, the host organization.
