    Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeonggi Innovation Center’) announced on the 25th that it signed a business agreement with Kyowon Group (CEO Jang Pyeong-soon) to ‘promote open innovation linkage (hereinafter referred to as ‘open innovation’).’

    This agreement was concluded under the leadership of the Pangyo Startup Zone operated by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, and its purpose is to revitalize the commercialization linkage between large corporations in the education, life, and culture fields and startups that will lead innovation in related fields. The two companies plan to establish a comprehensive cooperative relationship, secure new growth engines through collaboration, and pursue convergence projects.

    The Startup Zone is Korea’s largest startup support cluster established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Korea Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center. We discover promising start-ups in new business fields and provide them with space to move in and customized professional childcare programs. There are over 130 startups, investment companies, and cooperative organizations in each field.

    The two companies plan to carry out joint commercialization between large corporations and startups through various connections such as ▲ discovering and commercializing competent startups ▲ conducting PoCs with each business division of Kyowon Group ▲ expert mentoring and technical collaboration.
