The ‘Jungle Program’, a collaboration between the Korea Institute for Start-up and Entrepreneurship Development, Amazon Web Services, and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center to promote the global expansion of domestic startups, is bearing fruit.
The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeonggi Innovation Center’) announced on the 24th that it will hold ‘Jungle IR DAY’ at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center International Conference Hall on the 30th.
The Jungle Program is a program prepared by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development to support scale-up and entry into the global market for companies in the AI field’s start-up stage (3 to 7 years). Amazon Web Services (AWS) cooperates, and the Gyeonggi Innovation Center supervises the project.
In October last year, 30 startups in AI-using fields such as e-commerce, fintech, and smart logistics were selected through individual evaluation. Selected companies received various support, including up to 300 million won in technology advancement funds and 1:1 consulting from Amazon Web Services to enter the global market.

Networking opportunities with domestic venture capitals (▲Kakao Investment ▲KB Investment ▲LG Electronics New Growth Investment ▲DSC Investment, etc.) will also be provided. A meeting will be held to introduce the business vision, share feedback on services and business direction, and attract follow-up investment.
In addition, a lecture on customer-centered Amazon innovation culture cases by an AWS retail/CPG business development team member is scheduled, raising expectations.
An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “We will make every preparation so that companies participating in ‘Jungle IR DAY’ can effectively introduce their respective visions developed through the ‘Jungle Program’ to domestic and foreign VCs and achieve practical results.”
‘Jungle IR DAY’ will be held on June 30th from 1 PM at the International Conference Hall of the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center in Pangyo, Gyeonggi-do, and participation is also possible online. Advance application for participation can be made through the website.
