NHN signed a business agreement for mutual cooperation between companies supplying and supplying artificial intelligence semiconductors for servers.

This agreement focuses on revitalizing domestically produced AI semiconductors.

About 10 organizations and companies participated in the agreement ceremony, including the Ministry of Science and ICT, NHN, SKT, Artificial Intelligence Industry Convergence Business Group, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Furiosa AI, Rebellion, KT, Naver Cloud, Douzone Bizon, and Kakao Enterprise. It was held at the NHN headquarters in the middle.

Participating companies plan to actively review the verification and application of domestic semiconductors in cloud data centers, cooperate in developing demand-tailored semiconductors, and cooperate in building a semiconductor test bed in the Gwangju AI integration complex.

NHN has established the NHN consortium with SK Telecom and the Artificial Intelligence Industry Convergence Agency (AICA) to support the technology verification of ‘Sapion’, an AI semiconductor made by SK Telecom, for two years starting this year.

Kim Dong-hoon, Executive Director of NHN Cloud Business Group, said, “As Korea’s leading cloud and AI provider, NHN will continue to collaborate with various domestic manufacturers so that domestic AI accelerators can grow into the ‘second DRAM.’”

After winning the order for the LH WISE System as the 2020 excellent information protection solution selected by the Ministry of Science and ICT, AlphaBit has supplied large quantities of Alpha SmartGuardV3.1 in addition to the [Big Data Platform Construction and Service Implementation] project due to its excellent products and performance.

Alpha SmartGuard, selected as an excellent information protection product, works safely and quickly through modules (API, Filter, Kernel Hybrid) suited to the server environment that stores various unstructured data (recorded files, voices, CCTV images, electronic documents, contracts). It can be built in any environment. In addition, sensitive personal information can be safely managed without separate decryption through encryption visualization, partial image encryption, and encryption key life cycle, providing business convenience.

An LH representative said, “We have a variety of modules suitable for the big data platform environment, can be applied to various files and system logs in connection with the big data platform, and provide superior performance and convenience functions compared to competitors, so this big data platform “Alphabit’s unstructured data encryption solution was introduced into the construction project.”

Pangyo eases outdoor advertising regulations… Rising expectations for the 2nd COEX

Times Square in Manhattan, New York, USA, which has become a world-famous landmark thanks to various outdoor advertisements | Source-Newsis

Recently, Seongnam City designated Pangyo Techno Valley as a special game and content zone, attracting attention as it plans to relax outdoor advertising regulations on a large scale to the extent of COEX, which is a free display zone.

The central government and local governments have been concerned that if outdoor advertising materials such as signs are proliferated indiscriminately, it could harm the city and streetscape. Accordingly, many regulations have been imposed on the size and installation location of outdoor advertising. On the other hand, areas such as Times Square in New York, USA and Piccadilly Circus in London, England, have abolished regulations on outdoor advertising. As a result, the outdoor advertisement became a landmark symbolizing the city and was reborn as an international tourist attraction.

Last month, Seongnam City designated 1.1 million m2 of the 1st and 2nd Pangyo Techno Valley and Kin Tower area as the ‘Seongnam Pangyo Game and Content Special Zone’. By next year, ‘Pangyo Content Street’ will be created in a 750m section of the Pangyo Techno Valley Plaza from Samhwan Hypex to the Nexon building, and on the west side of this street, an ‘e-sports stadium’ with a total of 450 seats will be built by the end of 2023. Is expected.

Joo Gwang-ho, Seongnam City Asia Silicon Valley Manager

“Currently, when installing outdoor advertising, there were many restrictions on areas and signs, but with the designation of a special zone, we have been able to overcome these,” he explained. Seongnam City ordered a service to find an implementation plan to actively install outdoor advertising. We plan to establish a basic plan for digital outdoor advertising to ease related regulations, and to this end, we plan to include how to revise Seongnam City ordinances or Gyeonggi Province notices.
