    [Pangyo Tech] Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, Ministry of SMEs and Startups 2021 Startup Leap Package support project in full swing

    The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, the organization responsible for the Startup Leap Package of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, is launching a close support program for 36 companies.

    The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeonggi Innovation Center’) announced that it has completed an agreement with 36 startup companies for the 2021 Startup Leap Package support project.

    The Startup Leap Package Support Project is a project that supports innovative growth and scale-up of 3 to 7-year-old companies under the supervision of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Institute of Startup and Startup Promotion, and the Gyeonggi Innovation Center. The Gyeonggi Innovation Center has been selected as the host organization for the fourth year and has helped select a total of 195 companies so far.

    The 36 startups selected for the 2021 Startup Leap Package support project will receive a total of 4.7 billion won in commercialization support funds.

    In addition to commercialization funds, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center plans to support specialized programs for start-ups, such as BM advancement and internal and external collaboration.

    Meanwhile, on June 24, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center held a kickoff workshop for selected companies. This event started with a meeting between start-ups and Gyeonggi Innovation Center officials, followed by △ information on the specialized program for the start-up leapfrog package, △ business operation information, and △ networking.

    An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “Last year, there were visible results, such as the five companies that received startup leap package support through the Gyeonggi Innovation Center and were selected as baby unicorns.” He added, “This year, through the startup leap package support project, 3 to 7 year-old startups “I am confident that it will help companies overcome Death Valley and scale up.”
