– Hancom, ‘Hancom Office Web’ installed in ‘Naver MYBOX’
– HWP documents and MS Office documents can be edited, saved, and shared on a web browser.
Hangul and Computer (CEO Byun Seong-jun, hereinafter referred to as Hancom) is installing ‘Hancom Office Web’ in ‘Naver My Box (hereinafter referred to as My Box)’, a personal cloud service of Naver Cloud (CEO Park Won-ki).
Through this supply, My Box users can freely edit, save, and share Hangul (HWP) documents and MS Office documents anytime, anywhere using Hancom Office Web without having to install separate document editing software.
In particular, file sharing and real-time collaborative editing within My Box are possible, so if a user saves a document in a shared folder, multiple workers can edit the document at the same time on the Hancom Office web. In addition, collaboration productivity has been improved by supporting a history check function, such as who worked, time, and document version, and a specific version recovery function.
In addition, when editing a document, the content is automatically saved in My Box, allowing you to keep your data safe even if you leave the browser. If PC access is difficult, you can check the document contents directly through the Android and iOS My Box document viewer app.
Naver Cloud Center Director Kim Chan-il said, “We expect that document work within My Box will become more convenient with the installation of Hancom Web Office, Korea’s leading document editing software,” adding, “A wider range of tasks beyond photo storage, such as document creation, sharing, and real-time collaborative editing.” “It will be possible within My Box,” he said.
Kim Dae-gi, Vice President of Hancom and Computer, said, “By applying Hancom’s Web Office to Naver My Box, Korea’s representative personal cloud service, we have laid the foundation for expanding the domestic web office base.” He added, “In the future, we will provide office software functions suitable for a smart work environment. “We will continue to strengthen our development capabilities to respond to user needs.”
