NCsoft (CEO Kim Taek-jin) announced on the 23rd that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sony Music Entertainment Korea (CEO Jang Yoon-jung) for cooperation in the entertainment business. Through this agreement, we will cooperate with artists belonging to global labels under Sony Music Entertainment, including Sony Music Korea, to participate in the global K-pop platform ‘Universe’ that NCSoft is servicing. Together with participating artists, we plan to produce content such as live streaming, pictorials and videos, and AI (artificial intelligence) voice-based services and present them on ‘Universe.’ In addition to artists’ participation in the universe, NCSoft and Sony Music Korea are conducting various global collaborations. Sony Music Korea’s distribution channels will be utilized when introducing the sound source content (Universe Music) of artists participating in ‘Universe’ to the global music market.
‘Universe’ is currently being serviced in 134 countries, including Korea, the United States, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. A total of 22 teams of artists are communicating with fans around the world through ‘Universe’.
